I liked the Noon Lodge, but I can understand why someone wouldn't. The cabins are very charming and have a nice mix of modern and kind of traditional lodge decor. I stayed in cabinet #15 and have no problems with the space. We came with food and beverages and enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend in the mountains. I am low...

Booked the hotel for 3 nights, today is my second night, it is 4am and can't sleep so i feel I have to write about this nightmare. I rented cabin 7 listed as a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom The bedroom upstairs is incredibly hot so much i can't breathe or sleep there...that's probably why the have a fan in that...

We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We try to be very upfront that this is a Cabin rental, not a full service hotel which is why there is not daily maid service. However we do have someone on site full-time and if your room was not clean we would have taken care of that right...

We recently stayed at cabin #10, which states is a 3 bedroom but actually it's a 2 bedroom with a loft. The bunk bed shown in their website picture is in the loft upstairs. We weren't very happy to see it wasn't a bedroom. Also this cabin only has a wall furnace heater located downstairs, so the bedroom doors have...

Quiet atmosphere for families and couples. Outdoor fire pits and chairs offered a relaxing place to hang out without having to go anywhere. Kitchen in cabin allowed us to make our own food and drinks since it was fully stocked with pots, utensils, etc. Everything worked in the cabin. We will be returning in the future.

I guess I booked too quickly, cause I didn't look at the complex map to realize that the "cabin"is actually a duplex. Plus it is 2 story, with a steep staircase. So imagine arriving at night in snow. Now you park in the lot; pick up your suitcase-cause you can't pull it over the rock walkway unless you want to...

We rented cabin #5 at Noon Lodge for 6 days in January 2017. I loved the decor ~ clearly a decorator's touch. We found the location to be perfect for our trip; close enough to drive to the slopes, , Starbucks, groceries and restaurants. We opted to create most of our meals in the well-furnished cabin's kitchen. The gas furnace,...

Thanks so much for your kind review, we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Can we just ask what was wrong with the couch and chair so we can have a better idea of what to replace them with in the future?

Everything was perfect. The bed was nice and soft and had plenty of blankets. The heater was honestly the highlight of the night it kept the cabin warm all night long, I just wish I had a better view.

We had an amazing time. Very cozy and clean and modern! And the owners are fantastic. Coffee, tea and cookies available every morning it was too cute! I will be staying here every time I go to big bear.

Great little grouping of cabins on the lake, a short 5 minute drive to the main drag and all of the restaurants and bars downtown. The cabins themselves are pretty basic, in a good way. There's a communal outdoor fireplace that the keeper has going at night and there were coffee and snacks at breakfast in the main building, which...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We found a historic mountain retreat built in the early 1950s. We breathed new life into the property, combining vintage charm with modern design. Noon Lodge at Mallard Bay strikes that perfect balance between smart clean design and rustic outdoor charm. This endearing getaway harkens back to a bygone era of exploring mountain trails, cannonballs into a lake, laughing around a campfire, and gazing at stars. Our boutique lakefront lodge is located on a quiet residential street just 1.3 miles from Big Bear Lake village center's restaurants, shops, and activities. ... more   less
