Upon arriving we had to hunt down a staff person due to the reception area being locked at mid day. We were shown to our adjoining rooms (which, pleasantly, had a shared door we could open for a family suite.) we were told that our hosts would greet us at a (compulsory) fireside gathering at 7pm, with dinner to follow...

.comfortable lodge in a beautiful area. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Accommodation was spacious and clean with fantastic views in a lovely area. The only downside was the pool, or rather I should call it a ' pond'. It is unclean and very uninviting and needs a lot of maintenance and cleaning to bring it up to scratch.

Hospitality business is just a bit more than making money, location and friendly staff cannot make it up for basic deficencies. Despite the two day compulsory booking we felt like leaving after the first night.

This 40,000 hectare farm has been family owned for 100 years and includes it's own huge nature preserve, the Waterberg Conservancy, including much of the plateau. Our beautiful bungalow with comfortable bed, private deck with a stunning view of the plateau, and fun outdoor shower (also had an indoor shower). We went on the late afternoon game drive and saw...

Enjoyed the refreshing reception and a well kept garden and pool area after a long trip through Etosha. Staff are very friendly and willing to serve. Beers are cold. The selection of wines are of a high standard and at reasonable prices. Food is good and we enjoyed meeting the other guests at the dinner table. Good to meet Harry...

Our second night in namibia was outstanding. Climbed the small waterberg accompanied by the dog. People friendly, good advices for travelling and valuable information about namibia both history and today by our hosts. The owners of the lodge are keen to keep on doing their best for their guests, their staff and their country-as did their fathers and grandfathers.

We stayed for two nights on the way up from Windhoek to Etosha. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and although we are not into "communal dining", the dinner (not included) with other guests was actually good fun. Speaking after two further weeks of experiencing Namibian cuisine, the food here was of very good quality and it was great to...
