We had a nice stay over Easter and enjoyed the calmness of the season before Visby turns into summer mode. Staff very friendly. Breakfast had good quality and always freshly made. It's a nice place for weekenders that like to be in the middle of everything in Visby. Directly at the old Citywall and a splendid view on the sea....

We stayed at Hotel Strandporten for three nights and had a great time! The hotel is located inside the city walls and right next to Almedalen. Despite its central location there were no disturbing noices from the nearby restaurants. All sights in Visby is within walking distance from the hotel and the breakfast was superb!

You can't beat the location. The staff was unbelievably helpful and the breakfasts very good. We thought our room was great (room 14 - street view). It was off season so the pub down stairs was quiet... I can imagine it may be a little noisy during peak season. Overall, we were very pleased and found it to be perfect...

This hotel combined a homelike quality with up-to-date contemporary rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was first-rate, and the staff were extremely helpful. Our room, which was on the top floor and had a bit of an ocean view was comfortable in every way. Its location was perfect for walking to all the sights in any direction.

The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of old town Visby, 5 minutes from the central square and nearby several restaurants. The rooms are immaculately clean and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. There are a few parking spaces outside the hotel which are probably best to use as drop off and pick up points as all the...

Booked and paid for 2 rooms at this hotel in July ( booked via booking.com and they were hopeless as well ) to receive an email on 27th August to inform me my booking was in fact a "ghost booking" and the hotel is full 23-30/6/17 ( island games week ) . They offered me 2 rooms in a hostel...

We picked this hotel in Visby because we read positive reviews on Tripadvisor. But I must say we're disappointed. When you pay like 300 € a night (and this was a reduced, pre-paid rate!) for a mini-suite, you'd expect value for money. The room was not too bad (although you can hardly call it a mini-suite) and had a nice...

Good location. Very nice and service minded staff! We stayed in two different rooms, both with very nice furniture and fresh bathrooms. I assume the hotel was renovated rather recently. Very quiet in the night, no traffic. Ok breakfast which we had on the terrace.

Excellent location within the old town of Visby right next to the medieval city wall, and about 1.5km from the ferry terminal. This modern, chic boutique hotel surpassed all my expectations. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean and respectable. Staff were always very courteous and helpful. Room was spacious enough with everything we needed. Slept really well and...

Clean, nice room, kind and helpful staff. Breakfast unmatched by any other places I've stayed. Walking distance to everything, the hotel is located close to Almedalen and the botanical garden. Some noise from the bar/street. Wifi stable and fast. Rent a car to see the island, it's cheap and easy.
