Had an amazing stay here. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. The room and facilities were lovely and cosy with everything I could have asked for. The location is very convenient for the lakes. We had an evening meal and breakfast, the choice was excellent. Will definitely return here if I'm back in the area.

This hotel is a little gem in the rolling hills of Braithwaite. A beautiful location, just a few miles from Keswick centre. There are several trails just outside the door with amazing views from the hill tops. Our two dogs were completely worn out by the end of our stay. I really enjoyed being able to bring the dogs into...

We were recommended this by the landlady at our accommodation in Keswick. We took a leisurely scenic drive across to Braithwick with the intention of stopping for lunch here. Slightly off the beaten track, 2 mins from A66 but well worth the small effort to get here. Our trip was late February and we received a warm welcome from the...

Great room, great food, great staff, dog friendly, great breakfast...what more can I say! I would definitely stay again. They made me feel welcome and helped me get my stuff in, even Jack Sparrow the dog was made to feel welcome. Perfect.

We recently stayed 3 nights for a break away from it all, along with our two little dogs. I highly recommend this place. Our room was great , very clean, very comfy and plenty of space. We ate in the bar each night - loved the food. Great value and great quality. The staff are so lovely and go out...

We celebrated Valentines Day here with 3 adults and 1 child. The interior looks like it's all been redone and the place really looks like it's cared for. It's nice to see an establishment marching with the times. The menu had all the pub classics plus nightly specials; I had the vegetarian tagine which was delicious! The staff were all...

We were lucky to be able to have had two more visits to the Coledale in the last three months. As with our many previous stays everything was great. The weather was cold both times, but our rooms were well heated, nicely furnished, clean & tidy. As usual the food was of a great standard with plenty of choice from...

Very enjoyable stay the weather was really cold so enjoyed the log fires at night. It is a dog friendly hotel and very popular for it and this contributed to some good banter between a lot of the guests in the evening, rooms are good and clean and food is above average but what really makes the place is the...

Stopped off for lunch on our way back to Scotland. We had been to the inn twice back in July last year and again we weren't disappointed. We both had scampi and chips with salad, it was delicious. We'll be back again soon.
