From the point of booking to checkout we received fantastic service from all the staff. The road by the hotel was shut due to a local charity event so we received a call to warn us of this and confirm we had reserved parking when we arrived. We were booked in one of the premier rooms, unfortunately both the four...

Always a nice warm welcome at the Amberley, it's like stepping back in time. Set on the outskirts of Amberley with roaming cows it has a roaring fire in the main bar area and that's the best spot in the house. Would love to see an open fire or log burner in the other main dining area (breakfast room) to...

I cannot stress enough how the staff made us feel so welcome when we turned up on Saturday afternoon. We were destined for Bristol airport in Sunday so having lived in the village below 46 years ago we decided to visit the amberley inn. The welcome was really warm and honest. The fire in the lounge was welcoming particularly as...

Arrived Friday evening with partner. Warm welcome and lovely room with four poster bed and great view across Amberley and neighbouring village. Tea and coffee in room, filter coffee and press was a nice touch for the mornings. Bathroom was spacious with a nice big over bath shower, fluffy towels and dressing gowns. Shower cradle was damaged but didn't affect...

Another Sunday dinner outing found the 3 of us at the Amberley Inn. Unfortunately, the tables in the best part of the Inn were booked so we ended up in the bar although this meant we could look at the books and indulge in a general knowledge quiz that was there also. The food when it came was excellent, both...

What a rarity to find a restaurant that caters properly for people with a food intolerance, and when it's done properly it's as good as anywhere. I am not gluten intolerant, but our son is, and I can say that finding something that suits us all is difficult at best. Such a rarity is The Amberley Inn. Pretty much everything...

We stayed at the Amberley Inn whilst attending the Cheltenham Festival. A superb inn just a short drive from the excitement of Cheltenham. The room was clean with big fluffy towels in the bathroom, tv and hot drink making facilities in the room. If I had one slight grumble there were only 2 sockets (so pack a small extension if...

After an interesting 3-hour Sunday morning winter walk led by one of the Cotswold volunteer wardens, my wife and I called at the remote Amberley Inn for a quick bar meal. They were very busy and suggested we would have to wait a while. As all of the tables in the bars were taken, we asked if we could eat...
