Which describes the setting, the relaxation, the privacy, the food and wine and the host. Sorry about the delay in posting this review but we finally got there. Nestled just off the queen Charlotte track, this place is a real treat! Accessible only by boat, you arrive being greeted by the fabulous host and owner, Nigel. We came to Tawa Cove for a two night stop on the Queen Charlotte Track. As we descended from the track through the bush we wondered what we were going to find. Nigel welcomed as as we were old friends, we enjoyed this nice and peaceful place nested in the Marloborough Sounds at only 3 hours walking from Ship Cove, the biginning of "Queen Charlotte Track". We enjoyed Nigel's meals, discusions and ease.

Tawa Cove Lodge/D B&B is a very private and secluded 3 and 4 Star accommodation, surrounded by native bush and water on the Queen Charlotte Track in Endeavour Inlet. It is the first accommodation just after entering Endeavour Inlet and is approximately 3.5 hours walk from the start of the QC Track at Ships Cove. Suitable for both morning or afternoon Water Taxis from Picton to Ships Cove. Guests walking the track usually stay one night and carry on their walk the next morning , but others stay longer and enjoy the privacy, relaxing atmosphere and hospitality.
