This is a lovely hotel, within a short walking distance of the very quaint town of Martignac. Our room was tastefully and beautifully decorated in a rustic/vintage style. We had everything we needed: flat screen tv, tea tray, mini bar, iPod dock, comfy couch and a modern bathroom. The bed was squeezed into a narrow section of the room but...

Lovely little stop off on our way down to spain. We hit the caves in the afternoon, well worth a look. After that we headed to the hotel and were pleasantly surprised by the warm reception and welcoming decor of the hotel. Room was spacious and well equipped with a sofa and great little shower room. Comfy bed and a...

This is a charming, warm hotel with lovely rooms and hosts that are extremely kind and helpful. We stayed three nights and hated to leave. The breakfast is copious and healthy. Rooms are quiet and very clean. Although there is no elevator, the host gladly took luggage up and down.

Simple accommodations but clean & neat with all you need. OK, there is no elevator but you are staying in someone's house. No big deal to bring up your suitcases. Room updated and provides all: a safe, TV, fridge, nice mattress , etc. The dinner was unbelievable ! Fois gras 2 ways was the best I ever tasted and a...

We stayed for 1 night, due to proximity for a visit to the Cave II. We had dinner there that evening and were very pleased to learn that the hotel owner is a marvelous Chef! It was easily the best meal we have had since we began our adventure in France. Already we have eaten in Paris, Versailles, and Orleans....

Spent one night here on a recent French vacation in a triple room with husband and daughter. Loved this hotel! Very small, with a bed and breakfast feel. Comfy beds and great AC -- big plus for me and unusual for French hotels. Breakfast was very good -- my daughter loved the hot chocolate! Monsieur and Madame were very gracious...

We stayed at the hotel on a recent visit to the caves nearby. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the town centre, bars and restaurants. The decor is thoughtful and we felt at home right away. The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast good value. There is plenty of parking onsite.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice-spacious, nicely decorated, good ammenities (hot water maker, tea, coffee, TV, free wifi), nice bathroom and shower, and good air conditioning. Lawrence, the innkeeper, was very helpful (Made our reservations to see the Lascaux II cave. Gave a great recommendation for dinner.). He had good English, which was very helpful as...

Modern shabby chic done on the cheap would be a good description of this smallish hotel in Montignac. Very comfortable room with some nice touches like a mini bar, an iPod dock, free wifi, tea, better than usual toiletries in the bathroom which housed an excellent shower. The whole property is very clean. Food in the restaurant was good but...

This is a really pleasant hotel situated just outside the town centre of Montignac. We were welcomed by the owner and shown to a lovely room, tastefully furnished and well equipped. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast next morning was very good and we ate our fill from a delicious buffet. We would highly...
