Our fourth visit to the area, my sister Jane and I were privileged to stay at Linda's Shabby Chic cottage at Gwenddwr for our annual visit to wonderwools. What a fabulous cosy place to stay. My only regret is that we could not stay for longer! One bedroomed cottage but felt bigger with everything you need for a stay. Even... More

Delightful, stone, one bed cottage in Gwenddwr, owned by Linda Williams of the The Old Vicarage. Renovated in keeping with Linda's unique French, country, shabby chic style. Traditional stone slab floors, beautiful oak hand crafted kitchenette, roll top cast iron bath (with separate electric shower) and fabulous French style double bed. All decorated with Linda's personal and highly original touches... More

I've much enjoyed my stays here - this time with friends. This is a very hospitable B&B, comfortable and interesting. We set out on the next stage of the Wye Valley Walk very well fed on home-produced food. ,

My third visit over a couple of years and I experienced the same friendly and efficient service as before. Linda is a very natural hostess. Good for anglers. Very close to the WUF office and the Ty-Newydd fishing beat.

This is not just a B&B - this is Linda's passion. The rooms are full of character and charm and extend beyond 'everyday' b&bs. Linda has a cottage, too, that has been refurbished which you will want to live in for ever!! The attention to detail is amazing, like flowers from her garden in each room, farm reared sausages, bacon... More

This place is absolutely adorable. Old vintage style with furniture which are more than 200 year old. The owner Linda is very pleasant and told a lot of interesting stories. She welcomed us with a pot of tea. The place is superb and perfect to relax and run away from busy environment. You will not be disappointed!!!

Having stayed at Linda's for the third time I can only say that the place is very welcoming, clean and with that extra personal touch. We were offered tea one afternoon, just like that. Linda also cooked delicious porridge for us, upon request.
