Waited half an hour for one portion of garlic bread, our mains arrived 70 minutes after we arrived at the pub, very slow service, my husband queried the wait and was told that our 2 mains were being plated up but then waited another 10 minutes! The food was very tasty and hot, shame about the poor service, puts us...

Food was very good. Unfortunately no meals are available on a Sunday after 6pm which we were not aware of. We turned up expecting food. The man in charge...

We recently held a funeral wake at the Gladstone Hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for Chris and Emma. They assisted with our room requirements, choosing our food options and the arrangements for the day were made so easy. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. The roast dinners and vegetarian options were excellent - served piping hot and beautifully presented....

The room was lovely the fresh milk for tea/coffee making (available in a nearby fridge) is a stroke of genius! The food was excellent. We had breakfast both mornings - very substantial with plenty of choice - and dinner which was also very good and very substantial. The staff are very friendly. A really enjoyable stay.

I booked a room here without knowing much about it. It turned out to be real great place. Staff are really friendly and nothing was (almost!) not too much trouble. Room not the biggest but everything you could want for. It has been refurbished fairly recently and was of a very standard. Internet was good, which it often isn't in...
