The Hotel Cocomar Resort is on a deserted beach called Palo Seco (Dry Stick in English). This is civilized hotel in a rustic beach area. The beach is gorgeous black volcanic very fine sand ... powder sand. Look up and down for miles and you might see 1 or 2 people! The staff are super! The rooms are big and have frig, AC, microwave, most rooms have ocean views with nice patio balconies! The restaurant on-site is Las Brisas and the food is 1st rate quality, make sure to eat dinner here as it is prepared by terrific chef Pito who is well respected for his high cuisine! The pool is very nice. This is a regular return place because it has the setting, the nice quality rooms, staff and restaurant! Highly recommend if your looking for very nice place that has a native feel and off the typical tourist path. Oh yeah and it has 24/7 onsite security!…
Great beach access. Wonderful service. Total security and great food. What more could you ask for. The staff was very accommodating as this was a last minute booking. They spoke excellent English and completely understood our interests. We had dinner and breakfast and were very pleased with the selection and quality. We hope to stay again on our return trip in a couple of weeks.
The service was very good. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were just ok. They were kind of outdated and we had no toiletries except a giant hand soap. There was no shower soap or shampoo etc. the pool are was very nice but very outdated as well. Parking was easy but the property is off a dirt road and it was not close to many restaurants or shops. Breakfast was good but there was very limited options.
We recently enjoyed two different stays! If you’re looking for a nice, quiet beach and a comfortable place to stay with great service & helpful staff…check out Cocomar. We felt welcomed from the moment we checked in with Susana…loved the Piña Coladas & great food! We enjoyed the hotel pool and short walk to the beach with chairs & shade.
The hotel was very clean and organized. The rooms were big, as well as the bathrooms. The staff was really attentive, specially Susana, who helped us get tickets to Manuel Antonio Park and landed us a phone charger. Although the hotel is a bit far from the city’s center, it’s beach compensates. Incredible experience!
The best customer service great place to relax free breakfast excellent food. Swimming 🏊♂️ pool open for 24 hours.Best sunsets ever 😎🌴🐕Pet friendly . My favorite place to spend vacation in Costa Rica 🇨🇷lovely people , nice weather, great beach.
Best place to relax Best customer service Delicious food. Breakfast included. Swimming pool open 24 hours, beautiful sunsets. This is our favorite place to stay during our vacations. Nice rooms with great views to ocean or garden.
I booked a 2 rooms suite at Cocomar Beachfront for a family stay and we weren’t disappointed, rooms were very clean and spacious with beachfront balconies full amenities including dishwasher tv in every room free wifi extends to the beach since there’s no cellular connection but with wifi we stayed in communication with everyone, the staff were very very polite and helpful in every way they could. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced they even give guests beach towels. They have chairs at the beach and a nice big swimming pool where we spent hours with the kids playing. Breakfast was ok but they’ll make you any breakfast you might want and the bar fully stacked too. My next visit to Parrita we’ll be staying at cocomar again.
A hidden gem! Everyone was so nice! Pool was well maintained, room was clean. Security went out of there way to help with whatever we needed. This place is a hidden gem! Wish we could have stayed longer.
It is more of a 4.5, but would rather go to a 5 than a 4. The only reason for the 4.5 is because our room was a little on the rough end. Probably needed a little work done, but it didn't take away from the scenery and the wonderful time we had relaxing around the resort. Chad and his team went beyond my expectations. Everyone is soo friendly, especially Chad in the bar. The food was great. And I especially felt safe with Jonathan patrolling the grounds at night. Anyways....I will be back but I will upgrade my room!
