I’ve gotta say over the years I’ve stayed in my fair share of average motels but the Abel Tasman in Launceston is right up there with one of the worst I’ve seen. There’s a list of over a dozen issues we had with our appartment but here’s just a few:
* The shower in one bathroom…
We booked online early Nov and received an email that said we had paid unless there was an issue with our card. We got no communication to say there was an issue. We were told we would get a pin number for the room. We didnt. We kept trying to phonre this afternoon from Melbou…
We spent 3 nights while on Tassie holidays. We were 4 adults and 2 young kids. Overall good experience.
After hours check in at no extra cost. It was easy as well.
Enough room for family and reasonably equipped for money paid
Heated beds pluse a heater in the room…
The chef was rude to us and he was drunk and abusive to me. Manager was not called at all and the chef called me a f-ck head why he was drunk when he did it. Then he kick me out of our room because of this.
We stayed at the Abel Tasman Hotel in Launceston for a couple of days. Tamieka at the reception checked us in and Narelle the housekeeper serviced our room (it was nice and clean). The food was cold and not up to standard
"The Rooms are clean"
"CHeck room before paying"
"Next to no neighbours, as you could hear them banging doors/screens all the time. The kids room had air con."
"Our room had two beds and this may have given us more space in the room which was great."
