The grounds around Quamby Estate are spectacular, including a golf course on the property. The bikes that are made available are a great idea for seeing the estate. The accommodation itself is pretty basic and we didn't see another guest whilst we were there. Think we were the only ones, but they do accommodate for a walking group that is...

This was our second stay at Quamby. Both stays have been for two nights - before and after a walking holiday with the Tasmanian Walking Company who has a facility within the grounds.Have stayed in both Standard and Superior rooms. The standard room although a little small suited our purposes perfectly. If having an extended stay I would recommend a Superior...

We have just returned from a night away at Quamby Estate for our wedding anniversary. Quamby did not disappoint. It is a beautifully restored 200 year old homestead where you could relax and escape the world outside. We had a superior room, which was spacious and tastefully decorated. The property also has two sitting rooms and a library where you...

This was A Highlight of our trip to Country Tasmania! The accommodation was very comfortable and the friendly service was outstanding! It was a beautiful and tranquil place to base ourselves for a few days so we could 'Sunday-Drive' around the top end of Tasmania. A stately, grand and very relaxing Georgian Experience! Our stay was an Absolute Pleasure. A1...

Once the home of the first Tasmanian Premier, it's a lovely house and setting but we very small, pokey room next to the dining room. It had the feel of someones home and was a little stiff and starchy. Being international travellers we come with luggage and there was so little room in the room we could barely move round...

This is a beautiful little estate, it has great history for any tasmanian who is proud of their state, the heated bathroom floors are the best thing since sliced bread on a cold tassie morning, recommend to anyone to have a quiet relaxing stay for a night or 3

Stayed here the night before embarking on the Overland Track to Cradle Mountain. Dinner was first class and the highlights were oysters, scallops and lamb rump - the beef steak was good, but eclipsed by the lamp rump which was outstanding. Before and after dinner you can make use of the elegant and sophisticated drawing and living rooms for pre-...

The positive first. This is the most beautiful country house style hotel. No expense spared on decoration and comfort. It has magnificent grounds with a fantastic nine hole golf course included. The room was excellent, the bathroom luxurious and the bed huge. Why only three stars? The breakfast was extremely poor. . . no toast other than one small piece...

Excellent preservation job on the property and above average everything. The room we had (101) was special and the dinner and breakfast very nice. It's missing something which we could not put our finger on...ambience maybe? It is a little like staying in the sort of house one might visit for a day out to appreciate the decor and splendour....

We recently spent a night here before & after the Bay of Fires walk . The rooms are all beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable . The house itself has a lot of history with beautiful grounds and is also connected to a golf course.. The rooms are of various sizes so might be worth discussing your preference before you arrive...
