Detailed Reviews
I travelled with my school in a group of 80 on a ski trip last year. The hotel itself is in a perfect location; Secluded from noise but metres from the equipment hire shop, carts going up the mountain and next to a delicious pizza restaurant we spent one of our nights at.
There are many rooms to stay in as we took up most of them during the week! The larger public rooms for our night time meetings were very spacious and the toilets were very clean. I stayed in a room of 5 and we all slept well. There wasn't a lot of space to put our cases but due to the nature of our stay, we weren't in our rooms for very long daily. The lift was temperamental and slow which meant we took the stairs always. Even though we were on the second floor, the marble stairs were never ending and exhausting; I cannot imagine being on the top floor!
Entertainment was good with karaoke and pool table available. One night we could go night skiing because the route from the mountain takes you right to the front of the hotel!
The buffet lunches and dinners were perfect to fill a hungry stomach and keep out energy up for skiing. They served a pasta selection then a second course of various meats and potato dishes. Some were unusual but filled us up all the same. Breakfast was however a bit disappointing as it was only cereals and biscuits available; Personally, being British, we would have liked a hot selection in addition.
In terms of internet, we paid for hotel wifi which was extremely slow but to be expected up a mountain. I usually went down at 6am with nobody around so the speed was extremely fast then.
Shops were a long walk away up very steep hills but it was a good little supermarket with everything we needed. There were not any tourist shops for souvenirs but you can't have it all!
Overall, we all really enjoyed our stay and the staff got to know us and had a laugh with us. My school are going this year too as we know the place well now.
Would definitely recommend!

Hi all -
we stayed at the propery in 02-2022 when FVG was "zona gialla" during 'Omicron' era. Obviously we went skiing into Zoncolan Ski Center with our 3 small kids ranging from 6-9 years. Good skiing experience. I had hard time finding relevant information about hotel so I took a few pictures of rooms, bathroom, bar area and view from the Hotel.
Overall - it's a decent 3 star for the price you pay. The staff is Italian/ Polish - very friendly and helpful, both at the reception, kitchen, room services (rooms cleaned daily, good job on that). The rooms/ dining area/ reception is all clean, well kept, functional and welcoming. The customers range from Italians to Hungarians, Pols, Czechs, I also heard some German.
Food (we had half board) was mainly Polish/ Czech/ Hungarians oriented (meaning you won't find 10 kinds of 'dolci' for your 'capuccino' in the morning, but rather a continental selection of hams, cheese, eggs, sausages, vegetables etc). Dinners decent, with good soups (kudos on that) and 2-3 main dishes (+always pasta) to choose from. Fine for your 5-6 day stay.
If this was a 4-star back in the days (I think I've seen '96 in the lift) then it's real fine 3 star today, still good quality of interiors and everything you touch. Clean above all, maybe the "skiing room" could use a reconstruction. Otherwise good, you don't expect Kempinski quality here. And skiing from the slope right to the hotel entrace? Pricess!
I would come back - no issues. All the best to the staff!
