Beautiful house in a beautiful spot. We stayed here as a family for a long weekend, using it as a base to explore the coast with our children. Fantastic house, with provisions (including their own fresh eggs) supplied. The location is superb with trips to Whitesands, Solva and Saundersfoot all within easy reach. Great hosts and a great place

We returned for a weeks painting here having been before, and enjoyed Maggie's patient encouraging enthusiastic teaching, and Andrew's excellent cooking. Even the weather was mostly good! In the mornings we sketched at various locations and following lunch we returned to the studio to turn our sketches into paintings. A thoroughly enjoyable week and highly recommended.

Stayed for a weekend break, plus an extra nights B and B. Mixed media, spring seascapes. The structure of the two teaching days meant demonstrations, review of techniques and an opportunity to transfer our sketches from the the trips into viable pieces. Maggie was patient and really knows her subject. As a successful artist stil exhibiting and running her business...

Stayed here for 1 night whilst attending a wedding in Wolf' Castle and are very pleased we chose this B&B. The rooms are of a high standard and we were able to use a communal lounge. Breakfast was delicious offering organic and local options. Right up our street. The owners were super friendly and also run painting retreats here if...

My friend and I booked for 2 days non resident painting course to join others who were residents. I made it very clear that I was a complete novice, never having put pencil, let alone brush, to paper before. I was expecting to have some help with what I imagine are the basics but I felt completely thrown in the...

We stayed here with our 2.5 yr old for the weekend, Maggie and Andrew were very accommodating. The breakfasts were top notch, the room was massive, clean and comfortable - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone especially art lovers :)

Booked this accommodation for August to be with my family, who live in Letterston, including family visiting from Scotland and Swansea. All booked well in advance and other arrangements made, including prepaying for other hotel accommodation either side of this booking. Took a while to find this too and booked because of reviews and specifically location. Now I'm left trying...

It is very regrettable that we had to cancel the booking An 80th birthday party within our family was organised and the only place for all the family to get together was with us, as we have the rooms and space to hold the party We offered information of other B&B’s in the area and have checked to see if...

A beautiful setting for a beautiful house. We recently stayed for a friends wedding. We were made to feel very at home by the hosts Andrew and maggie. The room was spotless with a beautiful view of the countryside. The bed is the comfiest I've ever slept in. The next morning we were greeted by a very lovely breakfast with...

I revisited Swmbarch House as a non- resident on a painting course recently. Having been on several painting holidays and art courses, I have learnt that there are some teachers who can teach but not paint, while some can paint but not teach. Maggie Brown ticks both the "good artist" box and the " good teacher" box, and the course...

Andrew and Maggie were fantastic hosts. Lovely clean rooms, beautiful scenery and a fantastic breakfast. Swmbarch House offers so much more character than your normal B&B. We will definitely be staying again soon.
