We stayed at this hotel while on a trip to climb Ben Nevis. The hotel looks a bit gloomy on the outside, when we arrived at approx 22:00 there was nobody on reception. We waited for 10 minutes ringing the bell that no one answered,...More
Lovely room on the canal - overlooking Neptune's ladder which is fascinating to see. But very tough to navigate what is a bit of a rabbit warren with fire doors every 10 feet, or so it seemed. No lift, so tough to get your bags...More

As far as location goes this is a really good place to be, right on the locks. Very scenic. Room was clean and comfortable and a little on the small size, but it was sufficient. Hotel layout is confusing until you get used to it....More

Hi we stayed in room 24 and ha a view of the mountains and the start of Neptunes staircase, we have no complaints about noise, the room was spotless, very spacious and certainly had plenty of hot water. We loved all the food, we ate the cooked breakfast but lots of other choices from the cold buffet. We ate in the dining room on our first night and the brasserie on the second. Could not complain at all. Hope you get sorted.
