Lovely little cottage in the black hills of Wales. Great scenery and quiet. Small kitchen and living room but double bed sized bedroom with a massive wet room. Owner is very friendly and accommodating. ..reasonably priced so nice we go back every May.

Me and my partner stayed for a long weekend in April 2015, I had planned on staying in the self catering cottage, however this was booked for the first night and therefore we split our stay between the main house and the cottage(both were lovely!). The location was beautiful, all you can hear are the chickens and the sheep. We...

We spent almost 2 weeks at Maeswalter. We had a great time due to its location. The surrounding countryside is stunning and if you like walking it is an ideal base. The B&B itself is very comfortable. Joy Mayo, owner, made us very welcome and was very helpful when it came to local knowledge. Joy made hearty breakfasts for us...

We stayed here recently & it far surpassed our expectations. Set in some beautiful Welsh countryside, it's only a few miles from Brecon. The suite we were allocated was lovely, clean, warm & very comfortable. Breakfast was a sumptuous affair to say the least. Being dog friendly is a huge plus in my book & it was great waking to...

Old fashioned, yes, but all the great values of a typical British B&B, and Joy, the landlady was quite amazing. Full of enthusiasm and hospitality - especially as she manages the operation on her own. The breakfast was fine too. Two things to comment on though: 1. The location is quite remote - 20 mins or so from Brecon, and...

Can't disagree with anything the previous review said. We stayed in the cottage for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary in July. Our previous plans fell through at short notice & the owner was very kind & accommodating in arranging a long weekend break. The cottage is well equipped & comfortable and although it's in a beautiful rural setting (think...

We stayed at the cottage located on the same land as the B&B at the mid June 2012. The lady owner was so warm during the booking. The property is located in wonderful surroundings with amazing views. The cottage appears recently renovated in a modern style with underfloor heating. The living-kitchen-dining room is well equirpped and comfortable with all modern...
