I usually don't stay at Bed and Breakfast's but my stay at Alyson's Harvest View made me reconsider. From the minute my wife and I arrived, we felt welcome. Alyson was there to greet us and make us feel right at home. Our room had a great view and there was delicious cake waiting for us in our room. Alyson...

I spent two nights at this cosy, idyllic B&B on the edge of a remote village a few miles from Cambridge. I would have to say it is just about the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Not a motor vehicle to be heard, but many different bird species instead. The view from my room was exceedingly peaceful and...

Always a sunny welcome, bedrooms are impeccable and as one would like when traveling for work or for pleasure. The village is small but has a pub which serves food, nearby is a garden centre with a cafe and shop.

What a super B and B, very comfortable and clean, every little detail catered for...even down to a guest sitting room. Generous breakfast well cooked and served. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Location just out of Cambridge, but you get the peace and quiet because of that. We drove in and parked [no problem] we also took taxis in [also...

My wife , daughter and I planned a long weekend in order to visit Cambridge once again and among other attractions we attended evensong at Kings which was a very moving and uplifting experience. Having stayed at Harvest View previously in 2013 we had no hesitation in selecting this delightful spot as our base. Once again Alyson made us so...

My wife and I had the first 2 nights of our 5 week UK trip (from Australia) here, having chosen it based on other reviews here on TA. We were not disappointed - our room, the property, breakfast and our very welcoming hosts all met our (already high, based on others' review) expectations. We loved the location had a very...

I spend one weekend a month away from home, around the UK, so I spend a reasonable amount of time in B&Bs. I really like Harvest View. It's comfortable and welcoming and provides an excellent breakfast, which is all good. The bit I like best is that there is a guest lounge, so I don't need to spend the evening...

We really enjoyed staying at Harvest view and that is what we had. Our lovely bright double ensuite room looked out over the fields which had just been harvested. It's not easy to find but I had phoned ahead and Alison gave us detailed directions. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of fresh fruit and natural yogurt, a selection of...

A very warm and friendly welcome. Location is great - overlooking countryside but with quick access to major routes and the city. The owners gave us the benefit of their local knowledge and recommendations . The room was very comfortable with plenty of space. The cake each day was much appreciated! Breakfast was superb with good choices and well presented.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Harvest View is a small, friendly bed and breakfast situated 3 miles from Cambridge city centre. We opened in February 2011 and are a very popular place to stay. We have a double room with king sized bed, a double room with double bed and a single room. All our rooms are furnished to a high standard with en-suite shower rooms, flat screen TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a varied breakfast menu which includes fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt, a selection of cereals, full English and continental breakfasts as well as a daily special. Breakfast is served in our beautiful orangery which offers open views across pretty farmland. In our first Food Hygiene Inspection by the local council (July 2012) we scored 5 stars = Excellent. We recognise the importance of environmental conservation and we endeavour to keep our impact on the environment to a minimum. We therefore operate a minimum 2 night stay policy to assist in reducing the level of detergents, water and energy used for laundry. Harvest View is the ideal Bed and Breakfast from which to explore the historic city of Cambridge. Walkers and cyclists will be in their element in our delightful countryside. We are well located for the University's West Cambridge site, Addenbrookes and Papworth Hospitals and the Cambridge Science Park. We look forward to welcoming you to Harvest View. ... more   less
