With my Girlfriend for her works party, nice place, the food was way above par, chips to die for. Did not stay over, some of her colleagues did, really good value for this time of year too. The function room was big, definetly something I would consider for parties, can hold 100 people.

We turned up at the Wynnstay on a Friday night. We were told there would be a 30 min wait on food which we were fine with. We were a family of 3 and had met up with another couple. Food was ordered separately at the bar. One half of our party were served their food and had eaten their...

Being local to the hotel I've not seen any of the rooms but have eaten a few times in the bar and have noticed the food take a nosedive recently. The previous menu was more gastro-pub and nicely presented but all meals are now generally £7.95 and offer the usual pub grub offerings of chilli, lasagna, scampi, and jacket potatoes....

It is unusual for me to hammer independent hotels (chains should know better), but this one deserves the criticism....the place is very tired in it's look and badly maintained... WRONGS: .Room 7 "overlooking the courtyard" (actually it's a car ark) was dirty and unsafe....there was no hot water, no central heating. I found an electric fire in the damp wardrobe;...

A lovely pub to have Sunday lunch in. Well is was not so long ago with the choice of three meats, plentiful freshly cooked accompaniments and lashing of tasty gravey. Now it's plated up for you and unfortunately not a patch on the previous offerings. Three hand pulls normally available although on this accaision only two. The staff were superb,...

Arrived 27th September 2016 having stayed previously some time ago. Good location for my business trip. I was shown to room 5 on the first floor. First impression was that the room had suffered a raid. The door was split and the lock on the door was unusable. The carpet was dirty with stains, and the window sill and counter...

I decided it was time for a break and called in at this pub. It looked an impressive building and so my expectations were high. I entered and was welcomed and had a meal and drink. The staff were helpful and when the Mel came it was very nice. The prices were surprisingly good for everything I had and I...
