Cosy, tastefully renovated little place. Lovely hosts. Nice continental breakfast. Excellent location with lots of hikes into the surrounding mountains. 2 good restaurants within 100 meters. Very picturesque village.

Stayed with Paolo & Anita for 6 days in August to climb on Monte Rosa...WAY FUN time!!! The town, the B&B and the climbing is the best. We agree that this is one of Italy's best kept secrets. The climbing on Monte Rosa with Paolo was one of best times we've had in the mountains ( and we've been on...

As a previous reviewer wrote this is not only for extreme skiers and climbers. Rassa is just a fabulous little village in a narrow valley. You wonder how did this little gem come about. Houses are beautiful and the surroundings breathtaking. Rassa is close enough to ski in Alagna if you have a car (20 minutes) which is what we...

This is a destination not just for committed skiers and climbers, although they are amply provided for, but also for those seeking relaxation, peace and majestic surroundings. Rassa is a slice of heaven up in the Italian Alps, where two valleys collide and a stream tumbles past. This is a village that has stayed true to its past, maintaining the...

My trip in July 2012 was a return visit following a similar trip in 2011. I rarely return to the same spot so this in itself speaks volumes. Sun, snow, serenity and stupendous scenery combine to make this a magnificent corner of the Alps .Charming village. Delightful accommodation. Welcoming hosts. Paulo is also a superb mountain guide. I'm told winter...

After several days' climbing in Fance with Paolo Paglino as our guide, he suggested we travel to Rassa, Italy and stay at his B&B for more climbing in the Monte Rosa area, and we agreed. When we arrived, we couldn't have been happier. Rassa is an authentic, charming Alpine village on a glacial stream uncontaminated by tourism. Locanda Margherita is...

This is the second time in consecutive years that I have stayed at Locanda Margherita and on both occasions the welcome from hosts Paolo and Anita, has been equally warm. Being allowed use of the kettle in the family kitchen makes you feel like a member of the family rather than a guest. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and...

We have just been back to Locanda Margherita - this time a "boys" climbing trip. As ever, we were looked after extremely well - nothing is too much trouble for Paolo and Anita, and the village and surroundings were stunning in the summer. We spent 5 days in the mountains with Paolo, and achieved quite a few 4000metre peaks -...

We stayed at Locanda Margherita last summer and found it to be a tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable B&B in a lovely, picturesque Italian mountain village. The owners, Paolo and Anita, are both welcoming and friendly. The area around Locanda Margherita abounds with great hiking and climbing opportunities during the summer months, and Paolo is an excellent mountain guide as well....
