Let me first say the restaurant is excellent with an excellent and creative chef. Dinner was a pleasure! What lets Les Frenes down is the faded elegance. We had suite in the garden which had a comfortable seating area, king bed and large bathroom. However it was the details which let the room down; one of the bedside table lamps...

First of all, it is hard to say enough about the wonderful staff at Les Frenes. They all work very hard, and are all very good at their jobs, constantly going above and beyond, for any request or need you might have. Just excellent service all around. The hotel is located just outside Avignon, in the suburb of Montfavet, in...

Our room was large with an equally large bathroom. This chateau style hotel made a lovely setting for outdoor eating and with a quiet pool at the bottom of a long lawn. The staff were delightful, very French and charming. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was wonderful , a limited menu but the chef comes out and says...

I had a lovely few days at Les Frenes. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the service was outstanding. The building is a slightly older chateau and furnished very much in that style. The room we had was lovely with a view of the front of the hotel. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath and a very good...

This hotel is in a suburb of Avignon, and a short drive from the TGV station, so the location is good. Pluses: swimming pool, quiet back garden, secure and onsite free parking, outdoor dining in good weather, very friendly and accommodating staff. Uneven: worn carpeting, woodwork, furniture. despite what appeared to be relatively low occupancy, we were assigned to a...

We stayed in this lovely, peaceful hotel for one week, and used it as our jumping off spot for touring Provence. After a day full of sightseeing and driving, it was a pleasure to return to the tranquility of the beautiful garden and swimming pool. Although our room could have used a little renovation , it was very comfortable having...

The room was big. I loved the old style and the bathroom was amazing. The food was great. The backyard was huge and very pretty. The people were very helpful and very nice. Even knew English. Which helps when visiting another country.

Our room was a junior suite and was fabulously furnished and super clean. The shower wasn't very hot, but you know what, i'd go to a boring Hilton for that kind of thing. This place served great food, with very attentive friendly staff, and really gorgeous grounds, where you felt like you could be yourself. The pool was gorgeous. Quite...

me and my mum had an amazing stay at Les Frenes in October 2015, the staff was truly wonderful, they were always happy to help us, patient and smiling, and gave us a lot guidance for sightseeing, local markets, wines, etc, which we followed with great pleasure and amazing memories to come back to! The hotel itself its truly lovely,...

I needed another night in the Avignon area and settled on this lovely jewel of a hotel. The accommodations were luxurious and very old world. Crown molding and Fleur d'lys everywhere with an extraordinary modern bathroom. Room included a sitting room and there were two flat screen TVs and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Plenty of hotel parking and there is...
