Hotel is on the mountain with majestic views. From doorstep you ski away. Nightly rates are pretty competitive and staff is very friendly. Having said that, there are a few drawbacks; although the photographs give the impression that it is a luxury resort, the facilities and rooms look tired. A 4 person room is actually a 2 person room with...

We're just back from a weeks skiing on a Crystal package. There were 5 of us including two teenagers. The hotel Viking was absolutely fabulous- it is part of the French Belambra chain and was a real treat. Really friendly staff, amazing food, clean well appointed rooms and being about 100 meters above the Pleney gondola the kids thought it...

Just returned from a weeks skiing holiday in Morzine, the snow could have been better but the conditions certainly gave me a greater respect for the job the resort does to keep the slopes open under these conditions. Hotel Viking was the perfect ski to door hotel, downside you have to reach it by Gondola on arrival, but I guess...

Family of 4, with 8 and 6 year old kids. Great hotel in a perfect location. Ski down to ski school in the morning on the 'closed slopes' is an easy blue and is the absolute highlight of the stay. Rooms small but functional - two double beds. Struggle a little drying stuff in the evenings such as socks and...

This is the second time staying at the Viking, we were a party of 13, we knew the rooms were small but are perfectly serviceable and clean, the bar area is small and lacking ambience but the staff were very accommodating, the pool is a great addition, quite small but good for an early evening swim. The boot room is...

Rooms are relatively basic but clean, comfortable and warm. We had a good view down into the town from our balcony and love being able to ski to the door. Unfortunately we were ill during our stay which is a consequence of being in a confined space with lots of other people. But the room had a good range of...

Fabulous location with ski-in, ski-out. 3rd stay at the hotel, has been taken over by Belambra since last visit, a lot more family friendly with entertainment each night, if you can stay awake after a full day of skiing. Staff helpful, has changed to buffet style for breakfast and evening meals which have meals free wine. Morzine as a resort...

We stayed at Belambra for 6 nights and have to say our overall experience was very good. The room (3 adults) was relatively small and basic but this was to be expected for a ski holiday. The location is the real selling point for this hotel, on top of the Piste means we were first to get on the slopes/meeting...

Little disappointed that the swimming pool has not been available since we arrived. Tables and chairs all packed away, no attempt to open terrace. Great shame when you have to have lunch somewhere else, we visited 3 years ago and always enjoyed drinks at the end of the day on the terrace. Three adults in a room a squash, obviously...

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your experience after your recent stay with us at Belambra Clubs “Le Viking” in Morzine. We are sorry to hear that you could not enjoy our panoramic terrace and our heated indoor/outdoor swimming-pool. Due to exceptional maintenance, the terrace remained closed during your ski holidays. Please accept our apologies for that. We take good...

The best position ever for a ski in ski out hotel. The Viking at the top of the Pleney gondola is perfectly placed to avoid the crowds coming up from the town.Having doubts about our choice after reading reports of health standards in the hotel,we had a trouble free week with no health issues as did all the other guests. This is...
