My wife and I stayed here over a weekend and had a fantastic time, the homemade food was fantastic and the selection on the menu was great so much so I needed half an hour to choose!!, we are avid bikers so the fact FOD cycle centre is just 10 minutes down the road was an added bonus. if you...

I stayed here recently whilst attending an event in the area. I arrived late and cold, check in was efficient and courteous with the option of booking a meal in the restaurant but no pressure to do so. The rooms were back across a courtyard from the reception area, My room was a decent size, spotlessly clean and warm. Dinner...

I went there for my 18th birthday meal. The people are so polite. If you needed anything you could just ask not being scared to. My boyfriend has never been there before but me and my family have. It was lovely. Thankyou for an amazing birthday! We'll be back!

We stayed here for one night, we were looking for somewhere affordable that would permit dogs in the rooms. When I phoned through, the gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and explained the different options. When we arrived, the lady who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming, she explained where our room was, gave us the key...

Stayed last night and our group occupied 2 generously sized family rooms. Had a lovely time, dinner was delicious as was breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were friendly. Couldn't ask for more.

Booked table for 4 adults and 2 children. Absolutely beautiful food. Presentation was great - but the taste was THE BEST. Really considerate service too as the 2 children had their main meals at the same time as our starters great idea. Choice was great too. All freshly cooked.

We stayed here as a family of 5 over 5th November. They only had a small family room available but over the phone assured us they could make the room comfortable for us. We couldn't have been more delighted with our room which accommodated us very comfortably. All the beds were comfortable and very nicely presented. We had lunch in...

Thankyou for your kind review we do explain on check in and when booking that no dog should be left in a room on its own so this is a surprise to me.This is why we allow dogs in the bar area only and we can offer evening meal and food service in the bar.Im pleased you would visit again...

We had a day planned in Newport but decided we'd prefer to stay in the Forest of Dean and booked this for a couple of nights. Typical country pub, the lodge is on the other side of the car park so an easy hop from one to the other. Our room was smart and clean, everything in working order and...

Thankyou for your lovely review.A family run business is very different from a chain or corporate place i think attention to detail by the owners speaks volumes, in the end we care so much for what we have currently achieved through hard work. i will pass this review to our staff its always a good vibe with reviews like this....
