In Zouk Mikael's Old Souk region, we spent a weekend at "Almond Blooms Guesthouse". It was situated within a beautiful garden of almond plantation and we could see the sea clearly from our balcony. Just a few steps above, was the old town's Souk named "The Old Souk" from the Ottoman Era, a pedestrian market where Lebanese handwork of all...

Having seen the great photos of Almond Blooms (also known as the Old Souk) Guest House on Trip Adviser we booked a weekend at the end of October 2013. However on arrival we though we had arrived at the wrong place - the room we were given bearing no resemblance to any on the website. The room had no character...

Lebanese hospitality is famous, and Almond Blooms Guest House is most certainly an ideal place to experience this first hand. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and the assistance and service that the guest house staff offered, always comes with a smile. I think Almond Blooms is situated in one of the best locations to enjoy beautiful sights of Beirut...

We stayed there for 4 nights end of October 2011 and we had great time. The location is amazing. It's on top of a hill with a beautiful garden, we really enjoyed the outdoor breakfast surrounded by this beautiful view. It's also not far from Jeiatta and Harisa. If you want to enjoy the night life in Lebanon, you are...

The location was a complete surprise, sitting on top of a hill - Zouk Mikael. Located next to Old Souk, the neighborhood has an artsy / old world charm and is very quiet. The staff consisting of Pascal, Nidaa and a few others (sorry I do not have their names) along with Hicham have made sure that the stay was...

“Don't settle for the first room they show you. Ask to see all the rooms and take your pick!”

“All the rooms are fine. The one we had had a sea view and it was gorgeous to wake up and see the view of Jounieh's bay.”

“We stayed in the ground floor and loved it. I don't know about other room. Also i recommend organizing with the hotel to pick you up, it's a relatively new place and our taxi from the airport couldn't find it easily, they also charge less than the taxis at the airport, saving you the hassle.”

“Elegance Taxi - Most reasonable in fares and prompt in service. No haggling required. Other independent taxis with all their business cards and advise can be a complete rip off. Electrical Sockets - Please ensure that you carry a convertor for plugs as the rooms are fitted with European (2 pin Round) and American (2 pin Flat) (220V) Provisions - Water & beverages can be purchased from the restaurants in Old Souk, however for other general provisions you will have to head down into the centre of Zouk Mikael. Laundry - Laundry is available at walking distance from the hotel. Washing line is available in the bathroom. There are plenty of restaurants in the Old Souk and even a small cafeteria offering simple arabic food (if you are on a budget) Else restaurants are available in Jounieh, Maamaltein or Kaslik. Rooms on the West Side have better views and rooms on the ground floor have a little more of character compared to the bland ones in the 1st Floor.”
