This hotel is undergoing major changes under new ownership and I must say they're doing a great job. We enjoyed a fantastic five course new years Eve dinner for the incredibly reasonable price of £29.99! stayed new years eve 2016(Dinner, live music and fireworks) as advertised, first impressions were pretty good, tried to check in at reception but had to do it in the main bar area, whats the point having a reception ?, dinner was good but we had to share a table with another family who we had never met before, good job...

What a mess we woke up to New Year's Day. Got kept awake until 3.00 am with screaming children running up and down the corridors. Mattresses in main reception with the children sleeping on ladies shoes strewn everywhere. Glass bottles on the staircases!! Was thoroughly disappointed with the eating arrangements on New Year's Eve were put to sit with four...

Stayed here in December as a surprise gift from family and we couldn't of asked for a better couple of days. Room was very old fashioned but didn't bother us in the slightest view from our window was breathtaking the hills the waterfalls just beautiful the bed was so comfy buy pillows were awful had sore neck for few days...

Lack of management skills. Member of staff had more knowledge of the business despite only being there 2 months. Cold rooms is an understatement. -3.5 on 1 night. Little electric heather for the room. Breakfast was pleasant and polite. Unable to eat the full English as swimming in to much grease. No lights in the corridor to our room. Had...

My husband is on a photography trip to Wales and his first night was spent at this hotel. He told me everything was excellent here. His room was £60 for the night, including breakfast. He hadn't booked as he didn't know exactly where he was going to be ending up but after the really good nights sleep he got and...

Unfortunately we didnt get to stay. Untrustworthy Management...went back on their word after written an verbal confirmation and ruined our new year celebrations. Website on rooms also apparently wrong too. Because of this we wouldnt want to rebook

The Hafod is a lovely old building in a marvellous location. It is undergoing some refurbishment work just now but we still enjoyed a very pleasant stay. very good meal at the hafod hotel in devils bridge service was good also good choice from menu booked via the vale of rheidol website as a november rail trip and dinner offer collect ticket at train station in aberwystwith an hours trip by train to devils bridge where you disembark and a 300 yard walk to the hotel along...

Just got back from a 2 night stay hotel is lovely a little tired in places but the owners are in the process of upgrading.The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay wonderful nothing is too much trouble.Look forward to going back
