We were made so welcome by Judy, and loved all the little details in the very comfortable room, from fresh flowers to homemade biscuits, plenty of tea bags and fresh milk. Very thoughtful, very relaxed, and very much worth a visit!

A truely enjoyable one night stay, we were greated by Judy on arrival, who immediatly made us feel welcome and nothing was to much for her to please her guest's. Our room was perfect and great attention to detail throughout, every little thing has been carefully thought about right down to the scrumptious homemade biscuits in our room to enjoy... More

Couldn't have found a better place to stay only drawback was that we only stayed one night but just booked to go back again! Exceptionally spacious accomodation with lovely personal touches, owners made us very welcome and the breakfast kept us going until late afternoon. Within walking distance of Truro city center yet felt like the middle of the countryside

Beautiful property, fabulous room, friendly owner and superb breakfast. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. I would normally expect to pay over £120 per night for a room of this quality. Marcus Johnstone

The B&B surpassed all expectations and I would recommend it very highly. The house itself was a grand Cornish building that used to be the workhouse of Truro. It was really special and the master bedroom and bathroom were so spacious, comfortable and characterful. The attention to detail was wonderful--little bowl of sweets, home-made biscuits and lovely coconut handwash. The superking... More

I stayed at South Penarth for five nights with my husband and adult daughter in June 2011. We had the family suite, with two bedrooms and a shared bath, which gave us ample space. The old, rambling house has a lot of charm, and Judy Boylan, the owner, adds to it by providing antique furniture, fresh flowers in the rooms,... More
