We're a smart and friendly Georgian townhouse right in the centre of Truro. Our 34 rooms and 9 - 4 Star AA open plan apartments are beautifully designed and furnished; our busy but relaxed restaurant is popular with the public as it is with guests. We're not part of a chain, we're independent; taking the trouble isn't an extra, it's a basic minimum. Reception is staffed continually along with room service and Wi-Fi throughout the building and gated on-site parking for £6.00 per day.

Our daughter booked date night package for us as a Christmas treat. The welcome we received from all staff could nto have been warmer, from the hotel to the restaurant staff everyone was brilliant. Our room was on the top floor and retained some of the lovely origianal features. The bathroom looked as though it been refurbished and was huge. We loved the lights around the bath. Our evenning meal was amazing, must husband tried the steak sizzler and Ihave the Japanese taster meal. The following morning my husband enjoyed the full English breakfast whilst I went for the advocado - this was amazing. Having waitress service rather than a buffett made the experience even more special. Overall, a wonderful break away and one we would defniitely recommend

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Its such a lovely building with original features. The hotel is in the centre of Truro so easy access to lots of glorious countryside, beaches and the local shops.. Approximately 10-15 mins walk to the train station. The staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly and professional. We dined in the restaurant and although found it a little on the expensive side could not fault the delicious, well presented food. We were also waited on at breakfast which was also delicious. There was no lift at the hotel (being an old building) but this was fine for us but an older or more infirm person may need to request a lower floor. I would loved to have seen some information regarding the history of the town and hotel. Thank you everyone for making us feel so welcome and valued,

Hello YsellaMonroe We are extremely proud of our team here and the fact that we are a Grade II listed building with many of the original Georgian features still on show as you mention. Due to this we do not have a lift in the building but we are always happy to assist you with your luggage. All of our accommodation starts on our first floor but we can offer you a ground floor apartment in case you have any physical limitations though. As you mentioned we have the perfect location here in the very centre of Truro with everything that you might need right on our doorstep - shops, cinema and the newly reopened Hall for Cornwall only a few yards away. Thanks for mentioning the buildings history and you will be pleased to hear that over the next few months we will start to write about this for our new online Room Guide. Glad to hear that you ate in the restaurant and the team will be pleased to hear that you thought the food was delicious - just what we like to hear. All your comments are appreciated and will be shared with the team here and we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Take care.

A very comfortable warm and very friendly hotel with great private parking. Didn’t like the look of the restaurant so went elsewhere and didn’t bother with breakfast but, very good rooms and superb prices. Highly recommended.

Hello 188eamond That's what we like to hear - and yes, our central location is perfect when exploring Truro as everything is right on our doorstep. Sorry to hear that you found it difficult to find us and our car - park - one way systems are always difficult but we are so glad that you found us. The restaurant team will be pleased to hear that you thought the food was fantastic and the housekeepers will be happy to see that you mentioned them as well. Linda does make amazing cocktails and maybe the next time you stay with us you can sample try a different cocktail. Take care.

You HAVE to stay at this hotel! It's absolutely lovely. From our direct booking conversation, to our chats with staff as we passed in the car park - we were looked after incredibly well. Covid security is very good here and it includes lots of hand sanitizer stations, plus a reduced breakfast service. We must mention that to order breakfast, you fill in an order list on the day. Be warned: the paper is very very shiny and some pens just won't write on it!! We were in one of the hotel apartments - which are parallel to the hotel carpark. The apartment was absolutely fantastic and came FULLY kitted out with fridge, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, coffee maker and kettle. Plus, crockery, cutlery and pans. This gives you absolute freedom to cook for yourselves if you wish. Apart from a delicious continental breakfast each day, we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant so can't comment on it. The hotel is easily accessible from the station, very central and we would love to return. Look out for offers on the hotel website - and book DIRECTLY with the hotel as customer service is first class. During our stay, the apartment door locks were changed to new ones. We were very impressed with the amount of notice we were given via email about this. The lock changes were done around the convenience of the visitor, rather than the other way around which was brilliant. The hotel is simply wonderful. Why not see for yourselves?

Hello Eddie730 It's such a joy to read your review and the team will be thrilled to read it.... We are extremely proud of our team here and we do believe that we are here for you - the guest. Our city centre apartments are located just behind the hotel and are ideal for a quiet break and yes, you mention that they do have fully fitted galley kitchens so you have the option if you want to cook yourself or treat yourself to a meal out. Continental breakfast is included within all our room rates but we do offer some fresh cooked to order options as well. Maybe on your visit we can tempt you in to the restaurant for dinner !!! The changing of the locks was a bit of a challenge for us but our maintenance team did a fantastic job. I would just like to say that your review is simply wonderful as well. Take care - the Mannings Team
