Stayed 2 nights at the Fieldings and was a little underwhelmed. On the positive side the room was fine, large and comfortable, shower cubicle small but good powerful shower. On the negative side the breakfast was a joke, toast, tea, cereal and the saddest "continental breakfast" you've ever seen. On leaving I found he'd taken the deposit 3 times, he... More

No vegetarian cooked breakfast.. Just toast and cereal... and cheap orange juice and I saw it being re decanted back into the carton...... and a coffee.. No milk in the room... Light switch broke in the bathroom... Not clean.. carpets dirty.... I certainly will not go back.... Bed, pillows, lovely though.. and clean sheets and duvet cover... TV not working... More

Stayed three nights attempted to charge for 4 nights. Accommodation had been booked 8 months previously and a deposit of 20% requested and paid. Deposit was in error and should have been 10%. Demanded £100 to settle account when the correct amount was £38.80. Gave an undertaking in writing ... E mail ... that I would be met and transportation... More

Excellent! Lovely room, terrific service and accommodation! Mike picked us up at the train station and showed us around Truro before arriving. We had previously arranged a private tour with Mike - and the person who took us was EXCELLENT! John D. was knowledgable, capable and very helpful and willing to tramp through the cemeteries we visited. We saw all... More

Fielding's B&B was comfortable, on the rim of Truro, our room overlooking the cathedral in the valley below us, beautifully lighted at night. Mike and Avril Inglefield were delightful hosts; Avril served a good continental breakfast each morning. We made arrangements several months in advance to be picked up at Southampton where we disembarked a cruise. Andy was our driver... More

We booked a stay here and when our travel dates changed, Mike and Averil went out of their way to help us find another B&B since they were booked up for our new dates. We were still able to hire Mike to your us around Cornwall. He took us to many small towns and places I wanted to see because... More

We recently enjoyed spending a few days and nights in Cornwall. We based ourselves at the Fieldings B&B. This review is for the entire experience provided by Mike and Averil at the Fieldings--not just the room where we slept. First of all, Mike sent a driver to London to pick us up and drive us back down to Truro. That... More

From our very comfortable room in their bed-and-breakfast, Mike drove us from Lands End to Rick Stein's restaurant in Padstowe to to Tintagel to Heathrow during our four day stay there. I had traveled previously to Cornwall, but Mike took me and my wife to marvelously picturesque places down wonderfully tortuous country lanes that I had yet to visit. Mike's... More

The Fieldings B&B in Truro is a great place to base yourselves to explore Cornwall and all it has to offer. It may be an older style B&B but it is well kept, clean and you get a well cooked breakfast. The hosts, Mike and Avril are experts on Cornwall and all it has to offer the tourist and they... More

Excellent private car tour from Falmouth to see Lizard lighthouse, Land's End, St. Ives plus many more small fishing villages. Great choice instead of taking cruise ship standard tour. Easy to book via internet. Combines flexibility with unbeatable value. We were a 4 person group on Caribbean Princess which visited Falmouth on May 10, 2013.

We are approximately 100 yards/metres from the County Record Office, 100 yards/metres from Cornwall Council offices and a mile (1.5 Kms) from the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske. Your hosts, Averil and Mike Inglefield, were both born in Cornwall, and they are happy to share their local knowledge (when appropriate!) And help their guest in every way they can.
