It was a great feelings to be taking care off by the moment we step out of our car until we checked out. A VIP treatment is underestimated…..I am speechless to the personal note from a turndown service, to the amenities we received, to my personal needs a feather free and genuine Aloha smile from all the staffs. I can’t thank you enough for an excellent stay. The Housekeeping, Front Desk and Room service department, YOU GUYs are 5 stars!

Hotel's Favourite
My experience at this resort has been fantastic, mostly because of the people. The location is beautiful and the hotel is well appointed. The decor, finish is not up to the minute fashionable, but that does not bother me because who cares about decor in paradise. Also, while I've noticed the marble might be a little dated, the electronics including the kitchen appliances and TVs in our suite are top notch, brand new. We even have one of those fancy Japanese toilets. My experience started positively before I even arrived, Margie, one of the desk folks was extremely kind and nice and found me the perfect room for my family. She definitely conveyed the Aloha Spirit even before we arrived. I'm a platinum member so she arranged for a nice upgrade. Unfortunately the Ritz does not give any breakfast benefit to Elite members, which I think is a terrible business decision, but my rate came with some resort credit. (note to bonvoy, I think you'd make quite a bit more money if you gave a breakfast benefit for a continental breakfast and then just upcharg for the full Buffet, everyone would go for it) . Our first day the concierge, I believe her name was Simone was able to call and get us a table at a luau that was sold out until October, and you could see the genuine glee she had in helping us get a hot ticket. Although turn down service has been suspended or ended since covid, I did get a call on my first day to make sure I had everything I needed. When the gentleman came with my extra pillows I mentioned that I did not like the perfume in the shampoo and he brought me some unscented organic shampoo, it was very thoughtful. Walking the gorgeous Resort I asked a woman for directions to the health club and rather than pointing me she walked me all the way there chatting with me about the resort and the island. She turned out to be michelle, a food and beverage manager and I have noticed that even if it is not her area she makes an effort to pick up towels check on guests etc. she is clearly very passionate about making sure everyone has a good stay. The food on the resort has been very good, but I do think the prices are a little high. Our waiters in the restaurant we're lovely and kind, Laura our server this morning was a pleasure and has worked with at this property for more than 25 years. The valet folks make sure you have towels and water if you are going out and mike, the golf cart driver gave us a tour of the Resort and was very pleasant as well. He told us interesting facts about the trees on the resort and of how the completion of the resort was delayed when they uncovered a burial ground which we have a view of from our terrace. I'm quite confident that unlike in the case of Greg Brady the spirits are pleased with our visit and are making things go very nicely for us. Aloha mahalo!

We loved the view and vibe from the bar. We enjoyed the best tasting lemonade ever! ( no alcohol needed). The Sushi was delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and treated us like we were royalty. We found the perfect sunglasses at a shop down by the pool and the boys at valet were really hopping to get our car quickly. The shops were great and had items not found elsewhere.

The Ritz Carlton Kapalua is the definition of 5 star service. From the moment we arrived until we sadly had to leave, the ladies and gentlemen of the Ritz Carlton went above and beyond to make our stay special. Of the many Ritz Carlton club lounges I have stayed at; this one by far is the best. The staff was amazing and the space is stunning. The omelet chef in the morning is just the start and it only gets better from there with a full lunch, heavy hors d'oeuvres in the evening and an amazing bar all day. The rooms and property have been refreshed and you can tell. The room was amazing, with a large bathroom and amazing view from the lanai. If you are looking for perfection, this is the place for you.

Overall, we had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff was great. Rooms are large. The pools were great. The beach was nice. The food was good (not great). The coffee shop rocks (good food and early hours to grab food for daily activities off resort). The Kona coffeecake was addicting. The valets give the best recommendations. They send you out with water and beach towels to explore local beaches. So why not five stars? Reason one and the primary reason: we purchased a Oceanview room. In the notations of the booking description, it tells you you could get a partial ocean view. I was in Hawaii I wanted to see the ocean from my room. I was OK with a partial view. We arrived and the staff were lovely even offering to get us food after all restaurants were closed. We went to our room during the dead of night. There are no lights on the lanai so it's impossible to see what's in front of you. In the morning, we woke up to a beautiful garden view and a partial view of the tennis courts. No ocean. If you went out on the lanai you still had a beautiful garden view. If you went to the far end of the lanai... leaned over and looked between the palm trees you could see a sliver of the ocean. Mind you you had to be careful not to fall over the railing because you were leaning. This is not an ocean view. It's not a partial ocean view. It is unfortunately an over sell that irritated customers. Technically, I could not complain because if I was willing to risk my life there was a sliver of view of the ocean between the palm trees if a wind was blowing. Really Ritz-Carlton????? Was the extra money per night so important that you want to irritate your guests? The second thing you should be aware of is you cannot see the sunset from this resort. That doesn't mean the skies weren't lovely, but no sunset. Dinner in Lahaina resolve that issue. If this had been the only issue I certainly would have left the resort with a much more positive experience than leaving feeling nickeled and dimed at a lovely resort. Overall, this is a very nice resort. The staff is top notch and the resort is very nice. However, I left mildly irritated that my Oceanview could cause bodily harm if I chose to see it. Pictures provided showing my garden view… A very nice garden view. My sliver of the ocean view from the corner of the lanai (thankfully the winds made it so I could see the sliver ocean view for moments through the palms) seemed like corporate spin. Be sure to ask if you have a partial Oceanview how much of the ocean that means you get to see if it is important to you.

From check-in to Check-out the service at the Ritz-Carlton, Maui is beyond excellent. Day one we went to Flemming Beach (right by the Ritz) and the attendant (Dillon) was amazing. He set up chairs and our umbrella - even brought us drinks. He was attentive all day. At the concierge, Kim, helped rent us a car and provided the perfect advice on a sailing trip (which I have also reviewed). In the lounge the service was impeccable - attentive but not rushed. Even the shuttle to Kapalua Beach was quick and easy. Special requests (more water, dark roast coffee…) to house keeping were pleasantly accepted and followed. Now the hotel itself is showing its age. It needs some updating to be sure. In terms of hotel amenities, it certainly is on par with other high end hotels, but not exceptional. So why pay more for the Ritz? Well, I said it - service! It does set it apart from the Kanapali hotels. Also the location is amazing if you prefer quiet and relaxed. Kanapali is busy and often noisy. The Ritz is away from it all, so you’re paying more for location. Overall a great stay. I would definitely go back. Stayed October 30th to November 3rd, 2022.

Dates of Stay: Saturday, 10/22/22 - Friday, 10/28/22 Total Nights: 6 In a nutshell, the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is TRULY SPECTACULAR!!! It is honestly the only true "luxury" resort on Maui, offering some of the most exceptional staff, the finest food and the most AMAZING views that you will ever experience on Maui! If your travels bring you to Maui and you want to experience true luxury and relaxation, your only choice is the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua!!! Now, for my detailed review: Traveling to Hawaii on a yearly basis for over twenty years has allowed me to experience a wide variety of resorts and service in the Hawaiian Islands. Over the years, I have always wanted to try the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, but have always opted for the more oft-travel Wailea Resort Area. This year, seeing that the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua had just completed a one-hundred-million-dollar renovation, I could not resist trying it - and I am so happy that I did! Although Wailea is a wonderful spot, over the last several years, it has become overly commercialized and lost its tranquil feel; the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, however, exudes peace and tranquility! I want to be clear - if you want a vibrant night-life, Kapalua might not be for you - but, if you want to experience true paradise, luxury and relaxation, you absolutely must visit the absolutely heavenly and serene Ritz-Carlton Kapalua!!! Getting to and from the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua will likely require a rental car, as it is about 45-50 minutes from the Kahului International Airport. While Maui is very ride-share friendly, I would encourage a rental car, as it will allow you to explore the many amazing sites that Maui has to offer! Should you opt to rent a car, parking at the Ritz-Carlton Maui - much like most other Hawaiian Resorts - is Valet only. Valet Parking costs $45/day, which is in line with most other Hawaiian Resort properties. What sets the Valet Staff at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua apart from the others, however, is the signature service that the Staff at the Ritz-Carlton is known for. You rarely wait for your car to be delivered, they are always extremely friendly and offer directions, water, towels and assistance. You will truly not find a better Valet Staff in the Hawaiian Islands! Also, I must note that this is a “resort” property, and thus, a traditional Resort Fee will apply. The cost of the Resort Fee at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is $40/day - this is in range with that which you will find at the many other Hawaiian Resort Properties. You will find that this Resort Fee is full of value, as it includes all of the following: -Kapalua Resort Shuttle Service -Lei Welcome Greeting -Photo Session -Enhanced High-Speed Internet That and so much more is included at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua; it is one of the finest resorts that you will experience in all of the Hawaiian Islands, so do not fear that Resort Fee! Let me tell you about some of the wonderful things you will experience from this. First, the “enhanced” high-speed internet is truly that; while most properties in the Islands charge a fee for Wi-Fi which will support streaming, the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua does not - you will find the Wi-Fi to be truly superb and support all that you need, including zoom calls, social media and streaming. In addition to that, the televisions in all guest rooms at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua sport the SmartTV platforms that Marriott-branded properties are known for, allowing easy access to Netflix, Prime, HBO and Showtime. Next, the Lei Welcome Greeting is wonderful; some resorts post-COVID just have leis hanging on a hook - or forgo it altogether - but upon check-in at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, you will be met by an excellent Host or Hostess with a tray, complete with a high-end lei and a Signature Hawaiian Classic Drink, “POG.” Finally, the Kapalua Resort Shuttle is a truly wonderful touch. So many Hawaiian properties ended shuttle service during COVID, but it continues to be offered at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. This excellent shuttle will whisk you away to anywhere within the Kapalua Resort - including the multiple excellent golf courses, shopping and numerous dining venues. All-in-all, you will find the Resort Fee at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is completely in-line with that of other Hawaiian Resort Properties and that it provides an excellent value! As for the property itself, you could not find a finer property on Maui or in the whole of the Hawaiian Islands than the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. As you approach, you will enter a beautiful porte-cochere, well-staffed with excellent Valet and Bell Attendants. The moment you approach, Valet Attendants will greet your car and welcome you to the property. The efficient and friendly Bell Attendants will take care of all of your belongings, and you will be welcomed into a beautiful Main Lobby. The Front Desk appeared to always be well-staffed, and the friendly Front Desk Hosts will welcome you with a smile and explain the property to you in-depth. Even thought we arrived later in the evening, we were still greeted with a smile and within a matter of moments, we were being escorted to our Suite by a wonderful Bell Attendant. A quick note on the Staff at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, as I would be remiss if I did not compliment them! You will never find a finer, more friendly, attentive and professional Staff than those who work at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. We never had any poor interactions with any Staff, and each and every Staff member truly seemed happy to be working and excited that tourist have returned to the West Side of Maui. If you want to be truly pampered, and experience the finest Staff on Maui, you absolutely must stay at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua!! As for our Room - we were honestly AMAZED!!! The Rooms at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua have all recently been completely refreshed during the recent one-hundred-million-dollar renovation. You will find all rooms at this beautiful property to be spacious and ultra-modern, yet fully reflective of true Hawaiian culture. Rooms at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua start at a spacious 440-square feet, and Suites start at an amazing 900-square feet. You will find all Rooms and Suites to be equipped with new Samsung SmartTVs, as well as spacious marble baths, large balconies and ample space to relax. Each Room and Suite offers a varying view, but I can assure you that you will not be disappointed with any view at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua based on its unique design. The property is set in a v-shape, angled out from the center lobby so that the Rooms and Suites have the best possible views. Formal view categories range from Resort to Ocean, and each provide excellent views of all that Maui has to offer. I would encourage you to book an Ocean View, as although the Resort and Mountains are beautiful, you cannot miss out on the beautiful Ocean Views that you will experience as the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is situated high-above the Ocean. If you want to truly splurge, I would highly recommend a Suite, as the extra space and amenities allow for a truly relaxing stay. Regardless of what you chose, you will find that your accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua cannot be matched by any other resort in light of the recent renovations! For our stay, we wanted to experience all that the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua had to offer, so we booked an Ocean View Suite. Note that while “ocean view” is described as “partial ocean view” here, you will not be disappointed as - unlike many Hawaiian properties - “partial ocean view” means more than just stretching your neck and straining to see the ocean. With all “ocean view” rooms at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, you will have a great view of the ocean - far more than the sliver of a view that most resorts provide. As is typical with Hawaiian Resorts, the higher the floor and the longer the walk from the Lobby, the better your view. We arrived late in the evening and were very tired from a full-day of travels from the East Coast, but we were excited at how far the walk from the Lobby was, and the fact that we were above the Lobby. Like many Hawaiian Resorts, the lobby at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is elevated - it is technically the 6th floor of the resort, which allows for AMAZING views from the Lobby and the Lobby Bar. When we were told at check-in that we were on the 7th Floor, we were excited, knowing that we likely had an amazing view; then, as we walked further and further from the Lobby, we knew that we were going to love our Suite. We had been assigned Ocean View Suite 2731, on the second-highest level in the building second-closest to the ocean. Upon entry, it was a bit too dark to recognize the view, but we knew that we had something special in our Suite - and, when we awoke the next morning, the views were some of the finest that we have ever encountered in Hawaii! As were entered our Suite, we found a small bench to the right and a full bathroom to the left - equipped with a vanity, toilet and wonderful glass shower. As we continued into the room, we found a large living space, equipped with a work/dining table set for two. Unique to this property, that dining table had a set of electrical outlets - both traditional and USB - included in its base. Next to that, we found a large and very comfortable sofa (equipped as a pull-out bed) and an extremely large and new Samsung SmartTV. The TV sat atop a large stand which held a decent sized mini-fridge, storage spaces, and a safe. There was also a large coffee table in front of the sofa, which allowed for easy in-room dining while enjoying the views. Just off to the left of the living space was a large master bedroom, equipped with an ultra-plush king bed and a comfortable chair and ottoman. The bed was flanked by two nightstands, each offering storage space and ample electrical outlets - again, both standard and USB. The bed itself was fitted with ultra-plush linens and huge pillows that allowed for absolutely heavenly sleep. Then, just off of the bedroom we found a small dressing area, equipped with another desk and chair which was opposite a large closet - complete with space and stands for two suitcases, along with ample area for hanging and storing clothes and belongings. Continuing on, we found the master bathroom, equipped with an over-sized double vanity. To the right, we found a separate toilet room that was equipped with a high-end ToTo Washlet. To the left, we found a large glass shower - with excellent water pressure from a rain shower and a detachable shower wand - and a deep soaking tub. All-in-all, one of the finest Suites that we have ever experienced in Hawaii. The best part of our Suite - and that of all rooms at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua - was the view! When we awoke the day after check-in, we found that we had a very large double-balcony, equipped with a small couch with table, as well as two comfortable chairs. All of which allowed for truly heavenly views of the Resort itself, as well as the Ocean. We were truly enthralled by the amazing views from our Suite, and we spent a great deal of time on our balcony enjoying it throughout the week! **Apologies for a lack of attached photos - I have repeatedly attempted to upload multiple photos yet TripAdvisor continues to freeze and will not upload** A quick note as to Housekeeping Services - while many Resorts have eliminated Housekeeping due to COVID, Housekeeping services were still in full force at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. Our room was always promptly cleaned, and the Housekeepers were always very attentive and took extra steps to make us feel welcome. Additionally, they did a superb job keeping the room immaculate; in a quick post-COVID test of the room's cleanliness, a wipe-down of hard surfaces with a Clorox wipe revealed no dirt or debris, which is almost unheard of! All-in-all, some of the best Housekeeping Services and the cleanest Suite that we have experienced at any Resort property in Hawaii and beyond! As for Dining at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, there is no way that you will ever be hungry, as the Resort offers numerous truly amazing dining options! For breakfast, you have three options. The main option is Ulana. Located just below the Lobby, this breakfast-only venue offers an exceptional buffet, or numerous wonderful items off of the menu. We tried both the menu and the buffet, and we were never disappointed - make sure to try the Eggs Benedict, as it was to die for! Ulana offers excellent service, tasty food and wonderful views of the pool and property. Next, you can find an assortment of grab-and-go and quick-serve items at Kai Cafe; featuring excellent coffees and pastries, along with a beautiful view of the ocean and grounds, this is another great option in the morning. Finally, do not miss out of the relaxation and views you can experience from your Room or Suite with in-room dining. We opted for a wonderful breakfast on our balcony, enjoying spectacular views. And, unlike many properties where you have to wait quite some time for your meal, in-room dining at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is delivered promptly, generally in thirty minutes or less! For lunch, you have even more options! You can again select quick grab-and-go options at Kai Cafe, or you can enjoy wonderful dining from Olu Cafe; you can opt to eat at Olu Cafe itself, offering excellent ocean views, or you can relax poolside and enjoy pool service from Olu Poolside. Do not miss out on the fish tacos, as they were some of the most amazing that we have ever experienced! Finally, make sure to take the short walk down to the beach at experience the wonders of Burger Shack. Located ocean front and just above beautiful D.T. Fleming Beach, you will experience some of the finest burgers, shakes and tropical drinks that Maui has to offer! And, for dinner, do not miss out on Banyan Tree! Offering spectacular views and some of the finest seafood on Maui! It also offers not one but two versions of the Mai Tai – make sure to try both! Additionally, if you do not want a full meal, you can find excellent cocktails and light fare at the beautiful Alaloa Lounge off of the Lobby. All-in-all, some of the finest and most tasty dining on Maui, all located within your picturesque resort. With all of your options, you will never go hungry while staying at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. Finally, as for rest and relaxation on property - you can find no better resort on Maui or all of the Hawaiian Islands than the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. For true pampering and relaxation - and some of the best massage services in all of Hawaii - do not miss out on the Ritz-Carlton Spa! Exemplifying Hawaiian traditions and decor, you will find this to be one of the most relaxing spa experiences in the Islands. Additionally, if golf is your thing, you will find two amazing championship golf courses, each offering spectacular views! And, if that wasn’t enough, you have easy access to D.T. Fleming Beach, one of the most beautiful in the Hawaiian Islands, along with a truly heavenly pool complex. During the recent one-hundred-million-dollar renovation, the pool complex at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua was completely re-imagined, and it is now a beautiful three-tiered pool. This pool is - unlike many in Hawaii - open 24/7 and it offers complete relaxation, with ample seating along with several umbrella shaded chairs. Additionally, numerous new daybeds and luxury cabanas were added for rent during the renovation. A Luxury Cabana at the adults-only pool will cost $550/day, but it is truly worth it! These brand-new cabanas offer the ultimate comfort provided by several chairs, couches and a SmartTV along with electrical outlets to keep your devices charged. They also come equipped with a fridge, stocked with water and non-alcoholic beverages. Additionally, you will be provided with one of the most amazing fruit plates that you will ever experience in the Hawaiian Islands. Such luxurious and relaxing cabanas make the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua truly one of the best places to relax and rejuvenate! All-in-all, the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua offers you some of the finest recreation options around, and you absolutely cannot go wrong with a day lounging poolside! To sum up this already much too long review, I simply cannot tell you enough about how wonderful the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is - honestly, this truly is the best Resort on Maui and it is one that cannot be missed! This recently renovated property is the epitome of Hawaiian relaxation and luxury. The attentiveness and service of its staff cannot be matched, and its spacious and modern rooms are some of the finest that you will ever experience in Hawaii. Make sure not to miss the Ritz-Carton Kapalua and make it your choice the next time your travels bring you to the Hawaiian Islands!

We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua for nine nights in October 2022. The property is expansive and close to the Plantation and Bay golf courses. Lahaina is only five minutes away. There are walking trails to close by beaches, and the snorkeling is incredible. Turtles, schools of fish and even a reef shark sighting in Kapalua Bay. We stayed at a residence which was truly luxurious. The buffet breakfast is exquisite and our hostess Amy made us feel special every morning. World-class service even beyond what one would expect. The concierge desk did a fabulous job recommending and booking restaurants and dive trips. Molokini Crater was a good choice, and Merriman’s for sunset is not to be missed. The golf courses are wonderful, and the starter at the Bay course was kind and helpful giving great tips how to play the course. He even came out and helped us with putting grainy greens once in the back. The Plantation course is as good as it gets, but was surprised that they charged full price for sanded greens (and did not tell you about it either before the round). Played there two rounds, two days apart, with sanded greens the second time. When I raised this after the round to the golf course staff they asked me whether this made a difference in putting. What a question! That said had a great time playing golf but was expecting an advanced notice and a green fee reduction for sanded greens. Aside from golf we made it to Hana which took about 3.5 hours from Kapalua. One other recommendation to the Ritz would be to not blast loud music at the pool all day long, just takes away from the otherwise classy ambience. Loved to see work outings and weddings, and was impressed how everything was set-up and run beautifully. We will be back for sure, one of our best times on vacation.

We had a great time at this hotel. The check-in staff were amazing! Since the room given to us was a horrible view of the ocean they worked with us until we found a room we liked. Food is crazy expensive at this hotel. I found a nice restaurant called Sea House. There is a shuttle or you can walk. They need more food options at the Banyan Tree. The rooms are nice. The hotel can be confusing, but after a day you get use to it. Definitely get a massage! The beach here is too rough and not child friendly at all.

Stayed during winter break, 1st week of January with husband and 3 kids (then 7, 9, 11). Overall, I liked the location of the Ritz, slightly removed from the mass resort strip of tourist hoards that Maui seemed to mainly be. Great access to nature trails and Kapalua Bay, spacious suite for families, scenic property, and good food. However, the pools were not too exciting (for kids), and we didn't spend much time at DT Fleming beach because we wanted to surf and snorkel, not boogie board. I would probably return if we got a better deal than we did, but for the price we paid, I would prefer to spend the money on a more unique and exotic resort or high-end service experience, as the value seemed to be slightly off. However, I would recommend it to others who are looking for this sort of thing. More specifics: Location - beautiful area, absolutely loved Dragon's teeth and trail to Kapalua Bay (which was beautiful), and the mountains and green scenery. Check in - We arrived around 1:30 on a Saturday and although our room was not available, they were able to accommodate us with an early check into a different room (1 bedroom residential suite garden view with partial ocean view from balconies). Spacious and nicely decorated. I had to call to request our travel agent's "welcome amenity" and rollaway though, perhaps because of the switch. Room - Plenty of space, nice, clean decor, fun toilet, high end kitchen (which we didn't use). Besides toto toilet, bathroom could use a little updating and was a bit small (esp. when sharing room with our 3 kids). Bathroom in master, so kids have to go in to master to access. Rollaway for daughter comfy. Kids did not complain about the sofa-bed. Nice to have 2 balconies. Pool - Nice, but crowded. Our travel agent got us a complimentary pool cabana, but it was already occupied with someone else on the day we arrived. We never had a chance to use the cabana over the 3 days there because we were out too much during the day and the pool service closed late afternoon. One morning we did want to use it, but it started to rain. Kids liked exploring the pool area for a few hours one day, but then got bored with it. Grounds - Nice grounds with hammocks, etc. Beach - People warned of the walk down, but it was short, not much farther than at the Fairmont (where we stayed later) and the views from path are pretty. But if you want to run back and forth from pool to beach, it is not the hotel for you. Beach is pretty but very crowded. Wanted to surf but more of a short-board break, and too crowded. Better for boogie boarding. No seating that I noticed. Service - Shuttle service, concierge, waitstaff, and check-in were all helpful, pleasant, and friendly. Not at FS level though. Weather - TA posts warned of rain, especially in the winter, and the weather report forecasted thunderstorms every day, but we only had an hour and 1/2 one day. Lucky! Food - Ulana - We had adult breakfast buffet included and it was delicious. One of my favorite breakfast buffets (along with Four Seasons Hualalai and Hilton Los Cabos). The kids' buffet prices are steep - $90/breakfast for the 3 kids each day with gratuity. However, the buffet offers a great selection of food and the kids STILL talk about it months later. Lovely pool and ocean views from indoor and outdoor seating. Alaloa - We tried eating elsewhere the first night but the waits were so long that we returned and were thankfully given outdoor seating. Food and service was very good. Banyan Tree - Was disappointed that we couldn't sit outside (it was my first time eating indoors during pandemic). However, food was delicious and had nice complex flavors. Covid protocols - They did check vaccination cards at check-in and at the restaurants. However, no enforcement of mask mandate that was in effect at the time in Maui county. Approximately 2/3 of guests wore masks inside. I had to ask our housekeeper to wear her mask. This was in the height of the 1st wave of Omicron.
