We stayed here at the Woolly Sheep, Friday 17th February to Sunday 19th February for our wedding anniversary. I've never been to Skipton before and it's a lovely town! The Woolly Sheep was absolutely fabulous. Room was very clean and well maintained. The staff were so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The head chef even offered to create...

We visit every six months or so, but have only previously visited once on a Sunday. We were really looking forward to trying the Sunday roast .... and we were not disappointed. From a choice of beef, lamb, chicken and baked ham, we both plumped for beef. Very generous portions including roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and winter vegetables. Glad we...

Having stayed here between Christmas and New year, we decided on a return due to attending an event nearby. One again the staff were more than helpful, the food was great, and the car parking was free. Room crisp and clean. Oh and the Timothy Taylors beers are great.

The woolly sheep offers a more traditional bar area to eat and a separate formal restaurant area. The food was very nice cleared plates by everyone. The brawn scotch egg was amazing. Would defo recommend coming here for some lovely food in a great traditional pub atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. And there's good beer on offer too.

When staying in Skipton we were told that this might be somewhere we would like, and it was. We called in early evening mid week and went in the front bar complete with a real log fire in the grate. I drank the Timothy Taylor's Landlord beer which was both delightful and moorish! We decided to eat in and had...

We dropped in for lunch today, very cold market day in Skipton and were warmly welcomed and not just by a roaring log fire. We'd called in late morning to book a table which was sensible as they were quite busy. We both had sandwich and soup, blt and pulled chicken on ciabata which were both fantastic. Washed down with...
