We were lucky to be upgraded to a superb 2 bedroom suite. The service throughout was splendid and reception helped us so genuinely. Good choice of food and lots of room to spread out and relax. Plus right in the middle of town but with secure private parking.

Many thanks for your review - I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you found our service to be "splendid". We often receive compliments for the staff but I think splendid goes one step further. We look forward to welcoming you again on your next visit.

Booking.com were asked to check on access for people with a disability. They passed the buck (or said that they did) to the hotel. When we arrived, the car park (no directions given) was at roof level with no way down other than vertiginous concrete steps. Once at reception, there was no lift up. To try and assist, staff gave...

I am so sorry to hear of your disappointing experience of booking and staying in the Cawdor. We do everything we can to accommodate our less abled guests. Unfortunately we were unaware of your needs as you booked through a third party. Our disabled room is a standard room on the ground floor and while not as luxurious as some...

When I was a kid, my parents taught me that if you're in the corridor of a hotel and need to speak, you should do so only at a whisper. Whatever the hour, there are people in those rooms who might be asleep and being able to sleep there is their right. They paid for it! Having to lean out...

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I was very disappointed to hear you had been woken by staff. This is the first time I have had any complaint about this and I am confident that the hotel manager will ensure that this incident will not be repeated I am glad that you enjoyed your...

The Cawdor's rooms are visionary, the designer did an amazing job. Everything's beautiful, but it's not unapproachable either. The location (5 minute walk to the Dinefwr Park/Castle) was the perfect entry into my holiday. Would love to bring someone here who has never been to Wales before

Quirky little place that has its own sense of style and peculiar way of doing things. This is a good thing, as The Cawdor is certainly not a chain hotel and feels very authentic. My room was spacious and comfortable and although overlooking the main road, was peaceful enough to get a really good night's sleep. Food in the bar...

Been a while since we paid a visit to The Cawdor for lunch but it still has great as ever. Tried the sandwiches, superb. Excellent value for money. Staff very professional and friendly. We sat in the lounge, so relaxing. Planning a visit again this week, might go for the afternoon tea, can't wait!

There's always a nice atmosphere here. Function room was full and bar was busy. Comfy seating areas around the fire is a great way to sit relax & chat about your week amongst friends. Afternoon tea looked amazing & will try it soon !

I agree with Tom S about the car park. Having read earlier reviews I was expecting to have to navigate a difficult narrow turn between two walls. Instead, an easy 50 metre drive up a one way lane, a tightish but easily done in one manoeuvre left turn and then wide easy access to a very spacious secure aspect. Instead...

I stayed in the Cawdor for one night on business. Having read other reviews I was expecting to have to fold my wing mirrors in to get into the car park but in reality I experienced no issues - any competent driver would have plenty of room unless they drive a stretched Humvee. There were quite a few steps so...

We booked an April Fools' Deal which was £99 for a room, a bar meal and a cooked breakfast. We stayed in the Pant Glas room which was on the second floor at the front of the hotel. Quite a lot of stairs as there is no lift, so not for the faint hearted. The room was very nice but...
