Good but not outstanding experience. Food and service were very good. Staff were very friendly. Outside of building currently being renovated. Inside somewhat dated and basic. Located right in the middle of Carrickfergus.
Stayed 1 night. Throughly enjoyed the extremely friendly staff. Edith chatted to us at Breakfast, which was a full Irish breakfast, then gave us a tour of some interesting things archiologists have discovered. We went to their pub for the early bird special at dinner....More
We came in off the ferry Late & the staff were super friendly, efficient and accommodating.
For a place that is hundreds of years old it is well appointed and comfortable.
The bar has a great atmosphere and the ‘Irish Fry’ breakfast was outstanding.
We had an amazing meal here, try the tomahawk steak it's delicious and well worth it, it's massive, roast of the day was really good too, so definitely will be back again, service was very good too, so keep up the good work,😁
They're doing something really remarkable here. The building is many centuries old. It has its own ghost story of a jealous husband killing his straying spouse and her soldier lover. They are now taking away the more modern rendering that covers the facade to reveal...More
