We loved this place. We got a nice welcome and the bar staff were also lovely. Can't remember what we ate but it was nice. As we were off to a wedding and I had to fit into a "snug" dress, I explain to the staff that I didn't want the full breakfast - toast would be fine. So they...

The Inn is old with plenty of character and as a result the layout is rambling with long winding corridors with a change in levels and narrow staircases. My room was a fair size, clean and comfortable, the view was of a brick wall but for one night this wasn't too much of a problem. There is an excellent restaurant...

I really like this place. Staff have worked here for years and know how to give a good service. Don't expect a picture on a plate with cauliflower puree and a quails egg salad! Do expect a well cooked bit of meat with spuds to your liking. They also do some good deals throughout the week so be sure and...

Visited on Sunday. The waitress told me roast of the day was turkey and ham which I opted for when it arrived the mash was lumpy but I decided to say nothing. A table next to us then sat down and asked what roast was and they were told turkey and ham, roast beef or stuffed pork - why had...

Called in for a pint and stayed for a few, nice clean pub with history. Bar staff were really friendly, good range of beers and fair prices. Would prefer some music playing rather than the TV. Great find and would go back!

I was truly excited to stay at The Dobbins. The history and stories of it were enough to entice me to add it to my list of historic stays in the U.K. The entry is lovely and the reception was friendly. Sadly, Maude the resident ghost was not seen during my stay. The floors are uneven and the walls rough,...

Private birthday party including 3 course meal. The food was excellent and lots of it. Pate as starter ..peppered chicken with all the trimmings....and pavlova for dessert.....absolutely lovely. Only a couple of staff to serve the whole room and food was plentiful and hot....perfect in fact

Situated in the centre of carrickfergus we stopped off for lunch and the quality of both the food and service were excellent. The menu is varied and prices are reasonable and lunch was most enjoyable.
