This is a hotel with so much history and so much potential. We read a lot of reviews but we were disappointed. The rooms are worth what you pay for them, and this really is an old style inn, but the food was not great. My wife couldn't eat her meal, due to it containing the most greasy, stuck together...

20 of us dinned out at Dobbins Inn on 5th Feb. we eat in the bar area with a lovely log burning fire. The staff were very patient waiting on a few that were 20 mins late. The food was fabulous. I was very impressed at how quick the service was. The food was hot and everyone eat at the...

We called in here for lunch while visiting Carrickfergus Castle and were very pleasantly surprised. There was a set menu where you could get 2 courses for £12 and they were utterly delicious. We were expecting small portions and a limited menu but the portions were huge and there was a lot of choice. where else would you get half...

We stayed here because everywhere in Belfast was booked up but this turned out to be to our advantage. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The bar was welcoming and the Guiness was good. The room was very comfy and clean. Best of all was the traditional breakfast which was possibly the best cooked breakfast I've ever had. And...

This is an old style hotel in the centre of Carrickfergus, with a lovely little bar. It's just across the road from Spoon's, but a totally different clientele. Spoons is a bit ruff ' ready, where this is a lot more refined. It has low ceilings and soft lighting and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Sports are shown...

Just had a few hours in this lovely hotel. No complaints here as staff, food and atmosphere was totally faultless. The music wasnt bad either. Get yourselves down to High Street, Carrickfergus for a nice easy Saturday night that dosent cost the earth, including music. A* from us. Many thanks folks.

Went here on a Living Social voucher, the carvery was excellent with a choice of 4 cuts. I had the beef and pork, really tasty and really good value. The ambience was like hotels of the 60's , just what we like.
