I feel bad writing this review because the owner, Tom was lovely and more than helpful, but we just found our cottage shabby and really in need of an update. My main fear while we where there was that our gas boiler constantly did not work. We had to constantly reset it to get hot water and heat. There was...

Many thanks for your comprehensive review Kim and I'm really sorry that our cottage did not live up to your expectation. The gas boiler problem has now been sorted, the fridge smell eliminated and the blocked sink resolved. I also apologise for the state of the games room, which was certainly not up to our usual standard, the storage of...

We stayed here for 2 nights in Feb 17 (2 couples). Met by Tom who is just lovely. Beautiful stove fire lit on arrival which was absolutely bliss! The house was spotless and very spacious- lots of storage. House is fully stocked with every utensil and kitchen item that you could possibly imagine. Games room with pool table and table...

So love the fantastic review Oonagh and really pleased that you enjoyed yourselves. Absolutely appreciate all the detail and the lovely comments you made and judging by the pool score on the playroom blackboard you will have to return soon for a rematch!!

Spent a lovely family new Year at Ashley. Again great experience. Lovely warm welcome as usual. I am beginning to feel like family. Facilities are excellent. The grand children enjoyed the games room and the play area. The washer/ dryers are a welcome addition, especially for families. Ashley is so good I wouldn't dream of staying any where else.

A very cosy, comfortable cottage perfect for the kind of break we were looking for, would strongly recommend. The owner Tom couldn't do enough for us, and was always close by if we needed anything, we didn't want to go home.

We were met by owners Gail & Tom and given the warmest of welcomes, Tom gave us a huge amount of detail and insight into the local area and attractions of which there are many. The cottage was comfortable and very cosy with plenty of storage and facilities, lightening fast broadband was welcome with the kids. Super value and location....

Ashlea Cottages have all that singles, couples, families/large friendship groups need to give them the perfect relaxing break in my favourite part of the country. The owner and staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful, totally unintrusive but there when you need them. The cottages themselves are well equipped and laid out and spotlessly clean. When all this is combined...

Many thanks for your very honest review and we certainly take on board the comments you made. The downstairs shower has now been sorted and the carpets shampooed again! There are 2 double sockets in each bedroom although I must admit that some of them may be hidden by furniture and we will certainly be 'retiring' the sofa this winter....

Ashlea cottages are perfect for a weekend break. Although a bit dated decor wise, we found them very comfortable. They have everything you need including a fully equipped kitchen. Tom, the owner and his daughter are very friendly, give excellent advice on the cottages, the local area and taxi services. There is a eurospar and Lidl about 10 minutes walk...

Many thanks for a great review John and thank you for taking the time to submit such a comprehensive one.
