Business trip made homely. I arrived at the lodge after a long journey, my client having booked the accommodation, I wasn't sure what to expect. I usually stay in chain corporate hotel and I can say it was a welcome change. A guest house with bundles of character and an exceptionally warm welcome from Hollie who couldn't do enough to...

Booked onto the afternoon tea deal, which was great value for money. Service was excellent, alice our waitress made sure we had everything and was a good laugh. The scones were to die for! Will be visiting again soon.

Fantastic afternoon tea and excellent surroundings. Gluten free option was available (pre arranged) and it was delicious. Staff were very helpful and Julie done an excellent job of looking after our group of 30 ladies! I would definitely recommend a visit here. Huge thanks to all the staff.

Comfortable room. Loved the duvet and pillows. Didn't have breakfast here as there are far cheaper places within walking distance from the hotel. Overall stay was fine and staff friendly, just needs decorating to bring it more up to date.

The room and amenities were extremely clean. the room was cleaned daily and was most comfortable. The lodge was very welcoming and even with a 11.30pm arrival the owners arranged for my key to be handed to me upon my arrival. Pauline the owners mother was very sweet and helpful.

We only stayed for one night and only spent time there whilst sleeping. The room was quite small (2 of us in twin singles) and the bathroom could use a little refurbishment, but clean and tidy. One thing that did impress us was that we arriving a good few hours early than normal check in time. I emailed in advance...

Would not stay here again. Very strange check in arrangements. Room was clean. Was told wifi was provided in bedrooms. Not true. Wifi was available in bathroom only !! Very noisy pub next door , loud music until late at night. Breakfast was good.

I booked at the Shrewsbury Lodge at short notice on a visit to Belfast and it is a great location for the ferry. I received a very warm welcome and a great room. Everything was perfect. I arrived in time to go to the Caernarvon Castle just up the road for supper. Wi-fi in the hotel worked perfectly and was...
