I had the Scallops which were perfectly cooked and in a gentle cheese sauce - delicious ! Both my husband and myself had 'Rack of Lamb " which was succulant...

Spending most of my time in the big branded hotels it was a joy to stumble across this hotel. The staff were absolutely brilliant! Every single one of them was chatty, friendly, interactive and polite. I had room 21 which was tastefully furnished, new bathroom with not only a bath but a walk in shower too. Room was fully equipped...

This New Year’s Eve stay, for a function nearby, at the ‘country house’ Riverhill Hotel was our first as hotel guests but we had been to a couple of well organised functions previously so we knew it would be a good experience. All went well from the efficient check in to the relaxed breakfast. We had a very pleasant ground...

Myself and my husband recently stayed at this property twice due to visiting nearby family. The location suited us perfectly and we have no complaints about our stays at all. On both occasions check in was quick and the respective receptionists very welcoming. We were allocated the same room for both visits, Room 6 I believe which was on the...

Four of us were booked in at 8.30 pm (we would have preferred slightly earlier). To begin with, I was not impressed to find that our table was only set for 3 people. Our food was enjoyable on the whole. What was not acceptable, was the way in which we were rushed through the desert course. The standard 2 hour...

I stayed at this hotel due to working in the area early the next morning. The hotel was lovely and warm and the rooms were spotless. The mars bars and bottled water went down well after a long drive and the beds were so comfortable!! Breakfast was beautiful and all the staff were so so polite. Nothing was too much...

Taken into the dining room, again tastefully decorated, starter, main course and sweet all delicious. Piping hot, beautifully served, fresh vegetables cooked to perfection, roast and boiled potatoes. Plenty of Christmas Turkey. Christmas pudding and sauce also delicious. It...
