Peaceful setting and easy to get to. Overall the Travelodge was good. It was a good place to stop and explore attractions around the area. Plenty of free parking available. Macdonalds on same site for a bite to eat.
Paying over £170 for two night stay was an expensive mistake. Shame the toilet was not fixed to the floor/unit as this could have ended in a very messy disaster. Roadway Access had a dangerous small unnecessary island to take out a tyre, (I was lucky) plus a few cleaning issues that should have been better attended to, I don't expect mould & dirt. Staying at Travelodge in the past has never been this poor, obviously standards have dropped, very dissapointing
Convenient location for various routes. Free parking. Gentleman manning the reception desk went out of his way to look for and secure me a room overlooking the car-park side of the building, exceptional customer service at a busy time of day. All staff very pleasant. Hotel clean. Room clean and tidy. Everything worked as it should
This branch of the budget chain has a few attributes. It was a good base for us during the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and Warwick, so it is convenient to explore this corner of the Midlands. It was reasonably priced and clean and the receptionists were polite and efficient. The bed was comfortable and the room large (it looked like a sofa had been taken out and a big empty space left). There is a vending machine at the entrance, or alternatively the McDonald’s and petrol station across the car park can be used for provisions. Aside from that there is not a lot to merit a stay here. Our room had a poorly ventilated bathroom, so the room smelt musty and damp. There was no slip mat in the bath/shower so it was lethal getting in and out. The spare pillows had no pillowcases. There was a housekeeping cart permanently in the corridor outside the room, making passing in the corridor with bags a challenge. The hotel was always busy so although other guests were considerate there was always some noise of doors opening and closing. It’s fine for a brief stop but any longer I wouldn’t recommend.…
Stayed 3 nights. First 2 were good but on third one member of staff started to make a lot of noise banging doors between 1 am and 2 am. When challenged he said he had to make a noise as he was doing his night duties. He was more concerned about getting his night duties done than waking up me and the other guests up. He said he was sorry about the noise but had to get his jobs done so there was nothing he could do about making the noise. This is very bad. Ironically our conversation was next to a sign asking guests to be quiet at night so not to disturbed other guests sleep.
Room dated, smelt of alcohol, mattress dirty and old very uncomfortable. Worst travel lodge I've stayed in. Cost a bloody fortune and I wouldn't have paid had I the choice. Ruined a family stop over wouldn't stay again
Great reception team- Monica welcomed us very lovely. We stayed for 2nights and had no issues ! Nice and quiet, rooms old but kept very well. Reception team always on go - smiling a lot. Great place to visit and stay.
I spent two nights at the hotel with my friends. Very good conditions for the price, close location of Mcdonald's is a big plus. Good parking, no problem with leaving the vehicle. Staff very friendly and helpful, special thanks to Ania from the reception desk .
A little miscalculation on the location on my part. If you stay here make sure you have a car. But the Staff was very helpful and all worked. My Phone charger broke, and they lend me one without any hassle in the middle of the night.
poor ventilation and smelly corridors no air conditioning, bad breakfast no choice and doesn't offer any cooked food. dirty linen stored in trolleys in corridors for duration of my stay this did not help with the smell. poor value for money.
