A family lunch turned into a real event with great staff, superb food and a lovely log fire. The staff paid every attention to detail and even modified the meals for us. It looks slightly austere standing on its own on a main road but it is a gem. I strongly recommend it!

From the outside the Roebuck Inn has Stax of appeal, however this is greatly let down once you have passed through the bar and entered the living quarters. The stairs leading to the bedrooms have a strange smell and the appearance is slightly tatty and dingy. The rooms themselves are incredibly sparse and very small. There is no wardrobe or...

This hotel was a real disappointment. Looks lovely from outside, however the clue should have been that the place was empty. As already mentioned, it was very strange to be made to pay up-front for our rooms, I can only surmise that they have many people that once they view the rooms, decide to check-out pronto, we would have!! To...

Rooms are clean. Bring your own soaps, shampoos, wash cloths, and mouthwashes. For the casual, young, and able bodied traveler, the Roebuck will serve you with mediocrity for a short term stay. Internet WiFi access is hit or miss, so the working business traveler should plan accordingly if data uploads/downloads are a requirement. Lobby/bar/common seating areas have restricted hours; so,...

Love this place, stayed a few times now as a business user and each time the food is amazing. Staff have always been wonderful and welcoming with no problems with any request asked. Will love to stay again.

Just the strangest place to stay. Really weird rules. We were locked out of the dining area for breakfast, even though the sign says it opens at 8:30 am, until 10:00, because we didn't make a reservation for breakfast. We were staying there!

Not really a "Pub" stay - more like a little hotel with no amenities. The actual pub closed early every evening, so we had to return through the side entrance to our rooms, and there was no nightcap pint. The breakfast routine was frankly not worth the effort, you were expected to place your breakfast order (foodstuffs and a specific...

Stayed here a few times now, always warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are always very welcoming. The food was excellent as usual and it's definitely the best B&B you can stop in. All the rooms have all you need, TV, nice bed and a end suite. I travel all up and down the country and I can't say...

We arrived at the Roebuck around 12.30 Friday and whilst the welcome was friendly, only two of our four rooms were cleaned and ready. Also on our arrival, we had to pay for all nights up front, including breakfast, which seemed a little strange, since I've never encountered this in any other pub B&B.  From there on in, it got...

Visited the Roebuck to stay as I was passing through. I was shown to my room by a lovely member of staff. The room was very warm and cozy which made me feel right at home. I was able to pre order my breakfast to a time that suited my needs. The breakfast was lovely and fabulous coffee. The price...
