We stayed at the Prince Leopold for 2 nights whilst house hunting in Wiltshire and could not have found a more peaceful yet welcoming spot for our stay. This was September and mid week, so out of season and thus the place was not full but the location off the beaten track and the calmness created by the gentle murmur...

Stayed at the Leopold for one night on our way to Dorset, it's everything you would expect from a country pub, wonderful food, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and not to mention the local cask ales, they seemed very popular with the customers local and visiting! It was a bright and cheerful atmosphere, I will be definitely be coming here again...

We were 2 families of 4 adults & 7 small children. The staff were very welcoming and the dining room at the back was light, airy & a perfect space overlooking the garden & river. The food was delicious & reasonably priced. For £5.95 children can choose any main dish and ice cream for pudding. Really relaxed pub well worth...

Visited the Prince Leopold for a 2 night break in August and really enjoyed it. Excellent location,by the riverside in the quiet village of Upton lovell but close to Stonehenge, Salisbury and Longleat. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, the room small but comfortable and food locally sourced and of an excellent standard.

Absolutely loved staying here. Were greeted by friendly people for our whole stay felt like home from home. As we were leaving early for Longleat the following morning we had an earlier than advertised breakfast brought to us by an absolutely lovely man from South Africa I can't praise it enough.

I have been driving past the sign for this pub for some time but finally dropped in during a stressful rainy family trip with the dog. It was brilliant! A warm welcome for us and the pooch, a delicious lunch with super puddings. We will definitely come back again and would thoroughly recommend it to A36 travellers or locals!

We were very lucky to come across this charming English Inn and wholeheartedly recommend it to all. The owner welcomed us at a late hour on Sunday and we immediately felt at home. After some excellent sandwiches and a glass of the best Cornish gin we had a restful night and a superb cooked breakfast. The river and the views...

Spotted the sign for this on the main road and thought we would give it a go. Glad we did. Very welcoming. Menu had plenty of choice, service was good and food excellent. Hit the spot. We felt it was great value.
