The food & welcome are as good as it gets. I miss the place terribly. It's also very good value and the staff are excellent. All hot food is cooked to order and is of the highest quality & freshness. It is set in a peaceful, rural location with beautiful views & a log fire for cold days.

What a fantastic hidden gem. Set in farmland with campsite. Indoor and outdoor seating. Wonderful views across the open countryside. The staff are so friendly and efficient. The menu has lots of variety for breakfast and lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. Steak sarnie and chips! Prices good. Definitely worth a drive!!

It is my opinion that Puddings Barn is the best value cottage in the area. It is spacious, wonderfully equipped with the added bonus that you can park by the front door.WiFi reception is very good. Hayley & Jon, the owners could not be more welcoming and very helpful. The café is an added bonus where you can eat lovely... More

Very friendly and welcoming host. Clean, flat site. Ideally situated for Bradford on Avon, an easy cycle into town, steep hill on return! However, this site is very exposed and catches the wind. It is great to see the cafe is very popular, particularly among locals, however this results in a lot of passing traffic from 9am onwards. Though didn't... More

My hubby and I have just spent a week in this lovely cottage. It is really comfortable and very well equipped. There is a cafe on site serving breakfast and lunch, and they will also deliver to your cottage! There is lots to see and do in the area, Bradford on Avon is 5 minutes away in the car and... More

Just had a full breakfast, it was scrummy. Proper sausages good bacon and lovely black pudding. It came with fresh tomatoe which is ok but I personally prefer tinned with a fry up. They also have a camp site for the summer so I will be going back where for a wkend camp and fry up.

We just returned from a 3 night camping trip to Merkins farm campsite. My parents were staying in Puddings Barn cottage, which was really lovely and we stayed on the campsite. It is small but well kept with clean amenities and an onsite cafe serving delicious breakfasts. The only reason I haven't rated it as excellent was the fact that... More

Me and my boyfriend recently visited Merkins Farm due to needing a base to explore Bath and a few of the local cycle routes. The farm was clean and lovely-simple signs made everything clear and concise. They could benefit from a few more toilets and showers as there is only one shower and one male and female toilet-which was ok... More

Just had two night camping in a super spot with a nice mix of young and old and four nationalities on site. Lots of scope for enlarging the number of showers (perhaps by one) and showers (perhaps two) - but this does not detract from what is available now. The on site Cafe is a boon and serves great food... More

Just returned from a week at Merkins Farm cottages. The fabulous views and tranquility were matched by first class accommodation, thoughful and friendly hosts and first class cream teas! The cottages' location make it an ideal base for exploring the area. Train links to Bath and Bristol make it easy to spread further afield if the mood takes and the... More
