This beautiful fourteenth century manor house has been stylishly renovated making for a very comfortable visit. You are offered, which these days seems, a unique dining experience whereby all the guests eat together at the dining table enjoying a delicious three course fare and gives you the opportunity of meeting a range of interesting people.

I can only agree with all the other reviews, this is an amazing house hidden away in a quiet village within easy reach of Bath. Wonderful decor and furniture, extremely comfortable and well-appointed. Best of all, you don't feel like you are in a hotel, but are actually a welcomed guest in a home. Alan and Peter are very friendly... More

I have stayed in some places in my time, but little compares to Burghope Manor. The house is stunning, set in superb gardens, in an area of the country that begs to be explored. We arrived very late at night - not an issue. The host, Alan, even guided us in via the mobile, as the SatNav was having a... More

A perfect stay in a perfect venue. The first astonishment was the house, garden and grounds. I came with two British friends who have visited before, but they never adequately prepared me. Inside the house all was beautifully decorated, with an air of almost palpable history. The hosts were warmly welcoming, the breakfasts generous and expertly prepared. Beautiful art covered... More

We have just returned from a long weekend at Burghope Manor. Alan and Peter made us both very welcome, starting with tea and cake in the garden when we arrived. The accommodation was very spacious, clean and comfortable and great care had been taken with the decor to create a wonderful ambience. The evening meals were delicious and varied. The... More

Stunningly beautiful house and period decor with the most sublime scents throughout provided by reed diffusers (available to buy if a little pricey but well worth it!). We stayed here years and years ago. It was owned by a Lord and Lady. They were so generously giving. She was an Irish woman and worked very hard. He gave all the men in our party a tie with his coat of arms on it. It was sweet. .The time we were there must have been 25 or 30... More

This was our fifth visit to Burghope Manor and as always we weren't disappointed. The whole building is beautiful with stuning decor througout. You're welcomed with a cup of tea and a slice of cake in the drawing room. And there's the TV room for chilling out in too. Breakfast is always brilliant with the best bacon you'll find for... More
