Really good location (top of the hill). Friendly and helpful staff. We were recommended by a local friend who joined us for an excellent evening meal. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had - quantity and quality. We had a room at the front, so anyone requiring a more quiet room with views should request one...

Have now stayed in all the four rooms and have to say the service every time from the team from breakfast to dinner is fab! The team just want to ensure you have a great stay and really do put the customer in the centre of everything. Thank you.....

View for miles from Rm3, but temporary scaffolding on roof took away from it. Room was pleasant. Good shower. Noise from the pub below before closing time, but only to be expected. Breakfast was a little delayed, but worth the wait.

Lovely English pub, with friendly staff and great rooms. We stayed in room 5 (I think - it's the bigger room with a roll top bath) and would highly recommend splashing out the extra few quid - brilliant room and adore that bathroom! Staff were lovely, the chap who was there all weekend (I think deputy manager) was polite, approachable...

Very homely and friendly inn with rooms. We loved the breakfasts and evening meals. Ended up staying on an extra night because we were so comfortable. Staff helpful and relaxed. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a break in a lovely part of the country.

Perfectly placed to explore Bradford-on-Avon and Bath, this old coaching inn is warm, welcoming and comfortable. We had the largest of the four rooms available, which has a bathroom large enough to have a party in! You can luxuriate in the bath looking at the hills beyond the town. All your needs are provided for within the room; I particularly...

The menu is varied and all the meals were very good. It has a great atmosphere and is not at all pretentious. The staff were wonderfully friendly making this a great place to eat whether for lunch or dinner.

Really nice pub at the top of the hill into Bradford on Avon. Nice en suite room, clean, bright and cosy. Above the main bar, but not too noisy. Staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Beer and food excellent, particularly the breakfast on Sunday morning. Managed to get a parking space, as quite restricted.

“All rooms are great! From memory room 3 has the roll top bath and great views with the benefit of a huge walk in shower. It would be great to have fresh milk in the rooms for tea/coffee but you can get this from downstairs from the bar and some nibbles would be great...biscuits/nuts for when you can the munchies.... w”
