I consider this hotel was quite standard, very clean and organised. Bakewell is a beautiful town with lovely shops and pubs to visit. It should be specified in somewhere that this room has quite different access. Or outside slippery stairs or awful indoor stairs to climb up. They also should specify that the "hobbit suite" is for people of maximum...

Reyna, you paid for and stayed in one of the two standard suites in Bagshaw Hall, and all of our suites and apartments are, as you say “very clean and organised”! The Garden Room is described correctly as it has direct access out onto the front lawn and terrace of Bagshaw Hall, and this is the access in and out...

Lovely atmospheric building, decorated to a high standard. Quiet location within easy walking distance of the centre of Bakewell. Our stay and the environment was very relaxed and laid back. No problem with not having breakfast, although you can book this, due to the room facilities. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Bakewell rather than going elsewhere.

We booked the luxury suite and it was nice and what you'd expect for the amount of money we paid, ££££ The main reason it gets one star is due to the 'DIY' customer service, and being accused of stealing!! To check in you basically stand at the door and have to ring a number to get in after which...

Sometimes guests think the robes are complimentary, so we have a very gentle, polite standard text which we send to guests when robes are taken. Theft is never mentioned…….. this is all in 211travelbug’s mind. Had I thought for one moment the robes had been stolen then my text would have been different, I would also have mentioned that we...

We cannot thank everyone enough at Bagshaw Hall for our wonderful stay. We felt so pampered from the moment we arrived. We were given a tour and I love the anecdotes about the building we were told such as the stairs being so wide to accomodate the wide dresses. The room was amazing..so modern yet it felt like we were...

Stayed at Bagshaw Hall in a family group with 2 dogs, for 2 nights. We had 3 of the sleep lodge rooms (where dogs are allowed) plus the Chateau Room in the Hall (where they are not). All the rooms were lovely and well equipped for self catering - they even have bags of ground coffee for the cafetiere. Each...

The owners accommodated a group of us who stayed there for a family reunion to make sure that we were all in the hall and we could have breakfast together. Although breakfast in the dining room is much nicer than in your room it is obviously not the norm. Check in and out was weird. You have to phone them...

We recently stayed in the courtyard rooms at Bagshaw hall. The rooms were well equipped with micro wave oven, fridge, kettle, sink and cutlery. They were large and had a table and chairs for self catering. The room was clean, warm and centrally located. Very good value. Would stay here again.

What an interesting establishment. We had a small family reunion at this hotel. Four couples visited over a weekend. The hotel accommodated our request to have breakfast together rather than individually in our suites as normally preferred. Our rooms were comfortable. The common areas, quite quirky. Checkout was bizarre in having to phone the owner who was on the premises...

Basil says he is pleased you liked his establishment and remembers you well, having checked you in personally and also served your breakfasts over the last weekend. Basil was in a really good mood last weekend and thought he was being friendly?? Check out is easy for the majority of our guests who enjoy the freedom to come and go...

Incredible listed building located within a minute of walking to Bakewell centre. Building set in nice gardens and looks imposing at night lit up. The building seems to have been split into a number of self contained apartments and there are communal area's. ( some of the apartments are for sale). The apartment we stayed in was Rutland and was...

Hello Mike and thank you for your kind comments on the incredible building we have here at Bagshaw Hall. It looks even more interesting now that Linda has “gone to town” on the Christmas decorations!! The Rutland is a wonderful apartment and the large window in the lounge facing South provides a lovely view of the town and sunshine to...
