Stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful, homely and very friendly bed and breakfast. Our room was very comfy, clean with its own bathroom. It felt like home. There are several options for breakfast, I'd recommend the cooked breakfast. The location is excellent being only a few minutes walk from the centre. It is also only a short drive from... More

We stayed in a lovely room with en-suite in a quiet part of Bakewell. Within quick and easy flat walking of the shopping and cafes of Bakewell. The breakfast choice was good, the hot food was served with a smile.

Stayed here with my girlfriend.... Nice hotel and room. Great breakfast and the owners are very friendly! The only thing that could be made better was our bed was a bit creaky (room 1). But, on the whole I would definitely recommend this B and B!

Very clean and well appointed. The owners were especially lovely, We chose it for convenience to the motorway but next time we will stay for a proper holiday. We had 9 holes of golf at a course one mile away (? Castleton), super and in great condition. There is an 18 hole course a further two miles away. Kirby Lonsdale... More

Terra firma was in a great location, it was easy to find, parking was not an issue as the guest house has its own parking area. Upon arrival process was quick and efficient, no waiting around, we went straight to our room, and the Host Sue advised us that if we needed anything, extra milk for tea, coffee in room... More

We had a 3 day stay between Christmas & New Year. Terrafirma is located just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Bakewell and has the added bonus of car parking (which I guess in summer is at a premium). Room had on-suite bathroom and both were clean & tidy also nice and warm. Breakfast was just what... More

Louis and Madeleine were wonderful hosts. They made us feel very welcome. Louis greeted us and showed us to a room that was quite large and very cozy, warm, clean and comfortable. There's an ensuite bathroom that has a tub. There was tea, coffee and an electric water heater in the room for you to use. Madeleine made breakfast and... More

I spent two days on a training course in the bakewell centre. it is ideally located for the centre of Bakewell and in a quiet road, with car parking. Louis and Madeleine are very welcoming and friendly and made the time to provide local information of Bakewell over breakfast and in general. The room is very clean, well decorated and... More

I spent three days exploring the area and walked many miles. It was lovely to come back to such a comfortable room with a bath which was much needed to soak in after climbing quite a few hills. Louis and Madeleine were very welcoming and friendly and the other guests chatty at breakfast which was good as I was staying on... More

Enjoyed my stay, room was large with some nice views. The hosts were very welcoming. Located about 3 min walk from the town centre so very happy with location. I don't usually stay in B&Bs but I was a bit surprised of the 5pm check in and thought this was a bit too late.
