We were two couples who were cycling in the area and stayed for two nights. The location is one of the best I have ever seen for a B&B with a garden that overlooks the river Wye. It is also situated very close to the Monsal trail making it ideal for cycling or walking directly from the B&B. The rooms...

The Old Hay Barn is a beautiful barn conversion set in a truly stunning location. The photos on their website really don't do it justice! It is an excellent base from which to explore the Peak District, being a short drive from Bakewell, Chatsworth, and within walking distance of the Monsal Trail. Hosts Iain and Diana are extremely friendly and...

Just back from a lovely 3 day New Year break in the Peak District. The Old Hay Barn is an exquisite barn conversion set in a stunning location. We were in the suite downstairs with a lovely sitting room and a bathroom suite (the curtain was no problem, we had the corridor to ourselves anyway - forget the review that...

A belated thank you for this lovely review, Alan. It was a pleasure meeting you. We don't solicit reviews so it is very rewarding when we do get kind ones like this. Diana

Incredible house and garden, wonderfully accommodating hosts, delicious breakfast prepared to personal taste with plenty of choice. The room was delightful, very spacious but snug, cozy and comfortable with an amazing view over the river. Had such a lovely time and cannot thank you both enough, such a beautiful house and garden and we felt very welcome and at home....

As a couple, my other half and I have stayed here a few times in recent years. It is set in one of the most beautiful parts of Derbyshire with amazing views. Our hosts were as always welcoming and made us feel at home. Breakfast is served overlooking the lake...always a great view no matter what time of year. The...

An absolutely wonderful stay here for two nights!(we wish we could have stayed longer). We were on the suite of rooms - a corridor on which we had our own bedroom bathroom and sitting room! Our hosts were lovely and knowledgeable and gave us some fantastic ideas for walks. Perfect location for walkers, great starting point for many walks, both...

We had such a wonderful stay for 3 nights with Iain and Diana. The rooms are beautifully furnished, very clean and comfortable. We also had the luxury of a separate sitting room so one of us could watch TV whilst the other slept soundly. Breakfasts were delicious and made to order so we could have as much or as little...

I echo many of the comments from the other reviews. I have literally just returned from a five night stay at the Old Hay Barn and had to write a good review. As my partner and I are recently getting into walking we found the location perfect. The views of the back garden are stunning and we found them great...

We stayed for 4 nights at this superb B and B. The views are out of this world and the local bike rides are great. The accommodation could not be better. We were very well looked after by both Iain and Diane, lovely breakfast as much or little as you would like. Iain was full of useful information to help...
