The Ashburn is a well known entity in Lurgan having belonged to the McConaghy family for many years. It is known for its hotel, restaurant and nightclub. The atmosphere is warm as you enter the bar area. There is a restaurant but the menus are the same so I eat in the bar as there is a more lively atmosphere....

We booked the Ashburn for a recent family gathering; despite approximately sixty of us being present the food was excellent. Our youngest son was particularly keen on the hot buffet food. I agreed with his top rating but I was really impressed with the homemade vegetable soup and the tasty sandwiches we ordered for our lunch. For our needs, the...

Decent town centre hotel, approx 100 mts from railway station with frequent trains to Belfast. Decent sized bar with reasonable prices and decent pint of Guinness. Serve food in bar which is decent enough but they would need to change menu a bit, they have lunchtime specials but evening bar menu is always the same. Restaurant is small but menu...

I arrived with a heavy cold and was greeted warmly by the courteous and caring staff - the hot Jameson's toddy provided later was the best ever! The hotel is small, very clean and without being luxurious, is nevertheless very comfortable and warm. The food is really good, especially the wonderful breakfast, and the staff could not have been more...

Was dining with a party of 12 tonight in the restaurant. Despite the bar and the restaurant being mega busy with food orders the food was absolutely outstanding. The staff as always were more than helpful. Keep up the excellent standards in both food and service Ashburn!!

I stayed in The Ashburn from Thursday to Monday. The Staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The Room was clean and tidy with plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent also. Overall, I can't recommend The Ashburn enough. Ideal for what was required.

Busy bar offering good friendly service, large portions of average pub grub food at reasonable prices. Ok if your hungry and want a drink while watching sport on tv but not somewhere you would dine out.

Hello smudgertrip, Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your meal in the Ashburn. A lot of our trade is in the simple pub grub market & we enjoy a local repeat custom. We also have a restaurant in the hotel should you want a quieter environment, however the menu is the same. We also operate the...

I have been using this Hotel for about 15 years and have never considered trying another local hotel because of the service in the Ashburn. The staff are excellent as is the food, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the bar has a real pub atmosphere unlike 99% of hotels which I have stayed in. I will be staying...

Excellent service, good food and setting, well worth a visit, great selection of potatoes to accompany all metals, try the cocktails. 90 quid for 6 of us with a round of drinks and a round of cocktails.
