The owners Kevin & Carole did an excellent job of hosting our daughters wedding. The Rafters Room made a lovely place for the marriage ceremony, the 3 course meal (the food was excellent) and the evening disco & buffet. Kevin & his staff were super efficient at re-arranging the room for each function while we all enjoyed the garden (with...

Well, if you'd like to spend an average hour or so eating average food and being offended by the incredibly grumpy owner than go ahead. Some people should leave the service industry to the professionals!

I stayed here for three nights whilst working locally. The rooms are beautifully kept, very clean and the bed large and comfortable. I would stay here again no problem. The food was good on all three evenings which myself and fellow colleague ate. The Christmas dinner was especially delicious. Breakfast was also fine, fresh fruit served to start along with...

Undercooked frozen spring rolls with a cheap chilli sauce that was hot and harsh, pork in a gravy/sauce that was bitter and needed a JCB to move and vegetables and potatoes swimming in oil. A glass of "Sauvignon" that wasn't and was...

Great welcome from host Kevin, relaxed atmosphere with friendly banter between Kevin and the diners. For a small establishment the menu was varied with plenty of choice, the food was well cooked and the portions were generous. We have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

The restaurant/bar was empty and very quiet when we arrived but we were made to feel very welcome by Kevin. The food was absolutely fantastic, a very good selection of dishes and it was of a very high standard. It looks like the place has been done up recently and is very comfortable. Great hosts, wonderful food, definitely recommend this...
