Went to newly opened Carvery today. Four selections of meat and a very good selection of vegetables. All very tasty and well presented. Definitely need to book on a Sunday. Staff all young but polite. Would have been helpful if we had been told or it was signed that desserts were available. Would go again.

The staff that were on duty lunch time Friday 18 March need some training in customer service , The young man that served us with both drinks ( after a long wait) was very close to being rude, he almost trow my change at me and was most unhelpful. The food was hot with a good selection of meats but...

Once again we had a delicious carvery here at lunch time. The portions are very generous and it all tasted as good as it looked. The staff were very friendly and I also managed to compliment the chef this time. She was very gracious and took a couple of minutes to talk to us when I asked her about the...

As usual the food was lovely. As a family occasion we had a good time. The service and lack of waiter/waitress service was disappointing as was the fact we were squashed in and could not move. I felt sorry for the 3 men on the end of the table next to ours as they had to keep moving for us...

Went Thursday night early December for a meal with my cousin. The place was heaving so found it difficult to get to the bar for a drink and there was no where to sit while we waited for our table. Food was fine, nothing spectacular and place very noisy so hard to have a conversation. Hiwever the waiting staff were...

Had the calvery lunch. The food is to die for. Choice of 4 meats and 15 veg. The food just melted in your mouth and the hosts very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come back. Remember to save space for dessert. We forgot lol they also have a lovely beer garden and are doing a Christmas meal

I took my fiancé and friends to The Queen's Head for a Carvery today. We were greeted with a welcoming smile from all the staff (unlike most places where you get a grunt if you're lucky) we were told which table was allocated to us.. Orders were placed at the bar then we queued up for the Carvery... A tip......

We come here often for the carvery it is very good, a good choice of meats (need covering though as can be quite dry from being under the light) good selection of veg and potatoes (roasts are a little disappointing as not crisp and quite dry inside) but overall it is a lovely place and the food is good. The...

Local to the queens head, rang a take away order through to them told it would be ready in 10 to 15 mins. Arrived at the pub 15 minutes later to be told it was not ready, (the only thing that needed cooking was the chips), after waiting a further 40 minutes I eventually got my take away. Got it...

Excellent carvery again, so much choice, turkey, gammon, beef or pork, with the option of purchasing the turkey legs to take home, nine vegetables, three types of potatoes, yorkshire puddings and stuffing. Was very very tasty, very generous with the meat serving too. They are also doing a Christmas 4 course dinner for £40.00 each, with 14 veg!! champagne on...

“The rooms at the back look out over open fields. We left the window open so picked up some noise from the freezer generator at the back of the premises. If we had closed the window it would have been fine!”
