As a party of three we stayed in this accommodation on two separate occasions during our holiday to Sydney. The hotel is small, clean, homely and the staff are very friendly. Our room had a shared balcony which was great for sitting on in the evening. The breakfasts are freshly made to order and we can definitely recommend the rice pudding. We felt that the location was great with a park directly opposite and only a 10 minute walk to the nearest train station. Thank you for a great stay.

We had two lovely rooms at this family owned hotel, a large suit room for ourselves and two kids, with our older two children in another room down the hall. We were very well looked after by the owners, and stayed on additional nights when the bushfires and family in hospital made it difficult to return home.
Our teenage son left his wallet behind in the room with a significant amount of cash inside. The wallet was discovered by the cleaners and returned by the owners with all of the money still there.

We stayed at the North Shore Hotel for the second time, firstly because of its cost and location, and secondly because we found our first stay to be very comfortable and convenient. The rooms, although small, were very clean and tidy and the shower was great. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet. The gardens were nice to sit in and relax. Be aware there is no microwave.

Room Tip: No microwave & only 1 chair in the room. There’s a great little back lane where you can park....

Good things about this place is location - 12’ drive to cbd (with tolls), I think there is public transport nearby also. some free parkings available in the front and at rear of the hotel with key to back entrance provided. It also seemed like a quiet street when we were there.

We booked a standard room with a double bed and it was A LOT smaller than what we seen online 🥲 feel more like a room for one person. Additionally I don’t think the room was cleaned properly cause when we were there, the bathroom sink still had hair, floor still had a lid from a water bottle. and bathroom has a super strong smell of bleach to cover a really bad smell after the bleach wears off. To highlight our stay here we found a dirty kettle which still had something look like milk in it when we wanted some hot water. We got a clean one after notifying the hotel but this probably still something to pay attention to in the future. No returning for us unfortunately.

I stay at this hotel very two weeks for business travel and it never disappoints. Good clean rooms with separate bathrooms, mini bar , smart TV and tea /coffee making facilities . Walking distance to an add dance of cages and restaurants, plenty of off street parking or utilise the bus stop opposite the front door that takes you into the Sydney CBD in under 10 minutes.

I don’t know how this hotel managed 4 star rating. My husband and I had just come from a cruise where our cabin was roomier & nicer than room 8. No window to the outside and very awkward bathroom layout. We have stayed here before in the front room which is a lot nicer. Last time we stayed we commented that we wish we had a couple of wine glasses and they said next time not a problem - just ask. This time we wanted to enjoy a bottle of wine in the pleasant front garden - asked for 2 wine glasses and was told that they provided us with 2 water glasses in our room - no wine glasses. Shall not be staying here again.

The bed was the WORST we've ever stayed in. 2 singles pushed together that pulled apart as soon as we lay in the middle. The cleaner said sorry and that they must have forgotten to 'zip' them up together but the next night was just as bad - AND when we looked there was no zip so she was just lying to my face. They slipped apart and we slept in a hole. 4 of the 100% WORST nights EVER.

The manager and his wife made us feel welcomed but unfortunately the room had a horrible smell. Thinking it may have been old wet mould in kitchen cupboards and bathroom ceiling.
Even after opening windows and the room being cleaned, the smell was always there.
I smelt it as soon as we walked in and for the whole stay, we should have mentioned it to management straight away but pretty sure they would already now. We only had to deal with it for two nights as we were out in day.

My family stayed here twice in January and we received exceptional service. The first night we stayed before our cruise and the room was very comfortable for our family of four. Nick and Angela were very welcoming and made us feel like family. We were also able to store our luggage for the day until we were ready to depart. The second night we hadn’t booked and needed a room for the four of us in an emergency situation. We called the 24 hour number at 2am and Nick graciously met us at 2:30am and found a room for us. He was so welcoming and it wasn’t a trouble for him at all and said we could sleep in and have the room for as long as we needed. We were so grateful and he was again there for us in the morning for breakfast. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and Nick, Angela and the staff are very welcoming and provided us with exceptional service. Thank you

The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and the room was spacious and comfortable. The only negatives was the lack of parking on-site (the hotel can arrange parking very close by for an additional fee), and the bathroom being in the middle of one room which meant disturbing my sleeping family members to use it. I would stay here again as the place was clean, comfortable and well located with great cafes and restaurants on your doorstep.
