We used le Nid as a stop over travelling from east England to SW France - and would consider it as a base for exploring the Paris area. Very convenient for the A6, close to Paris and yet in a small, quiet and very beautiful little village. Although we had booked a room in the house, Stephane offered us the...

I booked this lovely quiet B&B as I was travelling from Paris down to the Creuse and this seemed an ideal stop over on the way. A great location about 5 minutes from the A10 and situated far enough out of Paris not to be bothered by traffic. Booked the Jules Porgès and Hercule de Rohan rooms. One upstairss and...

We stayed overnight in the loft, which is a garden room. It has a comfy bed and a lovely view of the garden. Rochefort is a pretty village and is peaceful and quiet. It is only about ten minutes from the A10 so it is ideal for a stopover. Don't try to arrive early as we were asked to come back...

We spent one night here with a party of 6 on route to the 24h of Le Mans. We made a last minute reservation for the Guy le Rouge appartment, which was spacious and clean. I can only say that Stephane is a perfect host and really works hard to please and help his customers. We arrived late, so he...

I was one of the five mentioned in Martin O's review, who arrived soaked after cycling there in the rain from Paris. Despite our sodden state we were welcomed warmly by Stephane, who provided tea, quiche, cakes and red wine, plus a shed to store the bikes. It's a lovely old house with quirky decor and a studio in the...

Five of us arrived after a few hours cycling through the rain. We were welcomed and could store our bikes securely in the garage. Stephane was interesting to talk to and had arranged a very welcome evening meal for us. We left the next morning properly refreshed.

We've stayed twice now in this beautiful bed & breakfast, in The Studio which offers a funky room with a shower and kitchen, perfect to prepare a small meal. It also comes with a little terrace. The location is perfect, just south of Paris, off the A10. It only takes minutes to get to this charming bed & breakfast but...

We stopped for one night on the way back to the UK. Quite difficult to negotiate the steps from the road to the hotel as there were no lights. It was quite cold and therefore icy and precarious. Limited number of restaurants and no bar in the village. We had to drive several miles to find a reasonably priced restaurant....

Rochefort is a beautiful medieval village and has got a gastronomic restaurant an other and modern one at 100m from the B&B. Rochefort also has got a wonderful tea place/restaurant at 150m from the B&B and a very typical english bar at the Golf club, very informal and in a wonderful place inside the incredible castle of Rochefort. All these...
