The Listowel Arms Hotel is a hive of acitivity all year round. However, it is more noted for the infamous Listowel Races and Listowel Writers week. It is quite a spacious Hotel and it has a wonderful view of the Listowel Race-course. It has a very relaxed ambience, genteel-like presence in this bustling town. I had lunch here with friends... Loved the turf fire, slightly threadbare elegance and totally relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and comfy and all individually decorated. The breakfast is freshly cooked and tasty and the staff in the breakfast room and the Writers Bar are friendly and helpful. Very much a favourite with Listowel's residents too!

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Listowel Arms Hotel. The hotel is charming, filled with history and a gentleness of spirit. Our welcome was warm, our room comfortable and the dinner and breakfasts were excellent. Can't say enough good thinks about the front desk and staff at the hotel. While staying at such a landmark we still felt... More

The Listowel Arms Hotel dining room and bar is very tastefully decorated and one feels very comfortable in it. The hotel is well located in the main square and usually parking at the rear of the hotel is available but recently roadworks blocked that option. The food is standard hotel fare although the Seafood Chowder is excellent and I fully... More

Lovely welcome on arrival, friendly and informative. Hotel has plenty of character. Room was fine. Not impressed with evening meal, breakfast was OK. WiFi not available in room, nor in certain areas in the bar. There were road works when I stayed so the car park was closed, but there is parking outside the hotel which is free after 6pm.

Very busy hotel in the centre of town. Stopped off for tea & scones. Service was pleasant, surrounds were clean but dated. Restrooms are clean but definitely need updating. Front of house and lounge area are very cosy with nice fireplace. Wifi in lower level good but town has excellent 3&4G. Did not stay here.

Arrived on Friday afternoon for a wedding reception to find the hotel very busy . We were greeted at the reception by a lovely girl who quickly booked us into our room. The room was nice if a little old fashioned but everything was spotlessly clean . We had a meal which was quiet nice and had a few drinks... More

Spent an overnight here recently and I can see why it gets such a high rating. If you like your hotel to be the same as every other hotel you see dotted around the country well then don't go here. This hotel has its own little charm of its own. Alright; the rooms might be a bit dated and basic... More

We stopped for lunch during racing week in September and were very pleased. With all the crowd going "Racing" we were impressed with the staff that were most pleasant and we never felt hurried. As busy as the hotel was, the staff always had time to answer questions and were most accommodative. I would love to return for a stay... More
